Talbert is now the manager of a Pharmaceutical sales company up in Philadelphia, PA. He lives there as well.

I knew and played with Jim and Jerry Wright. I would have graduated with the 72 class if I had stayed in Falmouth

That would be "Felton" and he played at Eastern.

The man was Phil HASSON...and every thing you say is correct! He never met a shot he wouldn't take! :lol: Played with some other standouts: Carl "Milt" Hafele, Matt "Gabby" Giesler, Todd Bender and was coached by the legend Kenny Shields. These guys at St. T also had "Jumpin' Johnny Messmer and current coaching icon Mike Listerman on staff. Used to play at St. T with the crowd surrounding the court...what atmosphere!

 

Thanks for correcting me on HASSON. He could certainly fill it up and you are right you knew just about everytime he came down the floor he was going to put it up. Also remember the other names (Giesler, Bender, etc). They had some very strong teams. I remember them playing in the old NKIAC with teams like Brossart, Walton Verona, Latin, Silver Grove and I think Augusta along with a few others.

From Pendleton Co what about any of the Griffins? I know Bob went on to play at NKU? I'd love to hear about some of the Griffs.

 

O.K. boy I know this is before you think life existed but Pendleton had a fellow named Rick Elrod who was an outstanding player and even made an appearance in the NBA if I'm not mistaken. Is son is currently on Pendletons team this year.

And you need to listen to your Dad. He sounds like a smart man. Jordan probably was the best player to play in your lifetime but in my lifetime there was a fellow named Oscar Robertson who might just have something to say about Mr Jordan. the "Big O" averaged a triple-double for an entire season. :thumb:
