Yes, he did go to LSU for two years. He is now at Vanderbilt where he has to redshirt this season for transferring. Good Player.

Doug Schlomer from Holmes was a great all-around player, the Bulldogs lost in the "Sweet Sixteen Championship" to Shelby County which stared UK standout Charles Hurrt. Then Schlomer went on and played for the UC Bearcats.

Welcome to the site Ironlung!!! That is a a great list, although I think Joe Stark played his high school ball at Dixie. He was the long time athletic director at SK. Does anyone remember Dean Fookes from Dixie or Gooch from Beechwood???

Thanks for the welcome SK fan! Thanks for correcting me on Joe Stark too. I remember Fookes & Gooch, but not well enough to include on my "short list". I'm sure they were both great players though.

From tiny Silver Grove..."the Rocket" Rod Remley...and from that samw era (70's) were a couple of tough players D. Ficke and D. Farwick (Dan And Dave, I believe). But I don't remember if they were Brossart or S. Grove...also a kid named Hedges (Mike?)

There was a great player from 60's that played for the Newport Wildcats, I think his name was Vories. I thinked he went on and stared for Geogetown, Ky or Berea?

Possibly and probably the greatest St. Henry team ever. And every player was great at what he was supposed to do. But really none of them would be on this list. Fabiani possibly, he was the best pg I've ever played with.
