I have said Beechwood has not beaten anyone in 3 years except NCC twice. It looks like NCC wasn't as strong as thought since their early exit. Mayfield hammered Murray , who beat the new #1 team in 2A, Owensboro Cath. Mayfield has stepped up to the plate all season long. The 1st team defense has given up just 40 pts while their offense has gotten better and better. Mayfield is better on defense this season than last and is now just a step or so behind on their offense. I don't believe Beechwood has improved enough to win this game unless Mayfield makes mistakes and gives it to them. If Beechwood is the better team and wins, I will be among the 1st to say congrats and good luck in BG.

And the team that just beat New Cath was beaten by Beechwood 69-26 and also lost by 17 the first time they played NCC. Comparing scores is about as good as comparing schedules when it comes to this game. Beechwood played the better schedule the last two years and it didn't get them a win versus Mayfield. I feel very confident about one thing - Beechwood will score more points against Mayfield than any team they played this year.

That number would be 14. You are right about comparing scores. I dont think I did. I just said NCC wasn't as good as advertised in my own way.

VOR, I couldn't agree more. Look at the PTilghman/Ft Campbell game. PT won by 24 the 1st time and lose by 3 the second. That sounds pretty similar to what CHC did to NCC. I have absolutely no doubt that both these teams are going to come into this thing giving everything they've got and then some. There's alot of pride at stake for both programs. Win or lose, both teams will leave it all on the line and that's all you can ask. The seniors on 1 of these teams are going to leave that field broken hearted friday night, but, will take the memories of it with them for the rest of there lives and that's what its really all about.

Thanks, I just went back over all the threads and couldn't find it. Exit 24 it is, hope to get into town early enough to find the field, hate it when it gets dark so darned early.

It's not at the school. It's across town.

The paper says a 7:30 central time kickoff , that's 8:30 Beechwood time. I was told it was requested by Beechwood , which seems strange since it will get the fans who choose to drive back home at about 4 or so in the morning. it seems to me it could get Beechwood out of kilters with the late start.

Get off the parkway at hwy 121, make a left, go about 1/2 mile and you will see the lights of the stadium. Turn right on 17th street and it will take you right to the stadium.

Cant explain the Dog Pound to you...we have fun, and love to watch the Cardinals play, and some of us have been known to be a little on the loud side...not me, of course.
