I don't see any problem with any posts so far. Mayfield fans are pumped and well they should be. Defending state champions. Undefeated. Ranked #1. Virtually unthreatened all year. They have beaten Beechwood two years in a row. Why wouldn't they be pumped? Why wouldn't they be excited about beating the #2 team in the state? They aren't being disrespectful to Beechwood. In fact, I think it is clear there is plenty of respect there. Mayfield is on the verge of becoming the Highlands of 1A football so heck yeah they believe in their team and are excited. Beechwood has a huge challenge before.

Mayfield and Beechwood both have enviable success in their football programs. Both programs enjoy playing and competing against the best. You win some, you lose some. Both of these teams have put themselves in postion to possibly win the state title. At this point thats about all you can ask.

Was looking at article yestreday of current HS winning streaks and it looks like Cards are tied for the 12th longest in the nation currently. Bjaynes I still think it is a shame that this game is not played in BG for the title. Just wrong to have these 2 have to travel 5 hours which for some fans will mean not getting to go. In BG this game would get the stage it truly deserves with a state wide audience

A neutral site exactly at the halfway point between BW and MF would be nice. I hear you on the distance. It is easier to go up to Michigan to see my daughter playb lacrosse.

i have nothing against any Mayfield fan on here. I just honestly feel that Beechwood will win in a classic KY High School football game.

They are pummeling their opponents.

 

Mayfield fans have always said that Beechwood would have been a figment of their imagination if they were in class A in the 90's .... now they are on a mission to prove it.
