I think you're dead on. Just can't fathom how Beechwood makes up the 3 touchdown deficit they were beaten by at home last year or the 5 td's they lost by last time they made the 5 hr trip west. Considering Mayfield's D is the best in recent memory (77 points allowed - best in KY) ' date=' and it was pretty dog gone good the last 2 years with the Tigers avg. a meager 7 pts a game. 3 or 4 touchdowns for the home team should be enough to get the job done. If the Beechies come down to the corn fields and chicken farms of WKY looking like they've crossed the border into another country as they did 2 years ago, this game will end by halftime. By the end of this season, Cards will continue to distance themselves from the rest of the teams in 1A. I don't have much doubt that either could win 2A. As far as 3A goes, they could beat many of them, but I don't think either could beat Central.

 

I haven't seen Central this year, but, I do believe Mayfield could play with last years team and maybe slightly ahead. They have the speed to contain Centrals offense and I don't think centrals defense would fare that well against mayfields passing attack. I'd love to see that matchup.

Look, the Mfd fans are just really excited about this Cardinal team and with the way they've played this year, rightfully so. They have the right to feel confident based on how these kids have played, being at home and based off past experience. Nothing wrong with that. I'm sure the Tiger fans feel very good about there team, as well, and nothing wrong with them feeling like they're gonna come out with a win. If you think about what you're saying for a minute, go back and read the Beechwood/Frankfort prediction thread and what some of the Tiger fans said. I'm sure those Frankfort fans could easily turn what your saying back to your own fan base..

We are excited, and should be! This is a team no one expected to be here this year, it is susposed to be a reloading year and this team has not trailed for 1 second the entire year.

No comments in particular 75, and not just the ones on this thread. Govnah just seemed to have a problem with the massey prediction and the Mayfield fans excitement about the game. My comment was wondering why he did'nt pin point the Beechwood fans, because they are just as excited as we are, and over the year their comments have not been much different than ours ( both teams fans want this game and for the most part all the comments are filled with confidence for their respective teams and respect for each other as well.

I have seen BW play and its the best team I have seen all year by far. Vocke is the real deal. If Mf can stop them I will be impressed. But at this point I have to go with BW.
