November 6, 201114 yr What was Wilbon saying? I'm not a twitter guy. RealMikeWilbon Michael Wilbon Handing the ball off tackle with 22 seconds left in regulation? You SEC apologists want to tell me about the creativity there? RealMikeWilbon Michael Wilbon I love all the Kool-Aid drinkers...All they heard all week (90 percent of it from my employer, ESPN) was huge hype...It ain't living up... RealMikeWilbon Michael Wilbon All Boise does every year is go on the road and beat some big-name program in their own gym and all many of you do is make excuses later... RealMikeWilbon Michael Wilbon All the SEC sycophants will scream bloody murder but I'll take Boise State against either of these teams, straight up on a neutral field.
November 6, 201114 yr A rematch would put the two best teams in the country against each other. But Alabama doesn't deserve it. They had their chance. Let someone else have a shot at an SEC club. Bama was a home team, moved the ball better than LSU and didn't get it done. I don't buy the "let someone else have a chance" thinking. As someone tweeted yesterday if you think OK St or whomever beats Alabama straight up put that team in. If you think Bama beats everyone else put Bama back in.
November 6, 201114 yr This poor guy is going to get killed by the bloggers. http://thebiglead.fantasysportsven.netdna-cdn.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/11/2011-November-5-23-33-3.jpeg Exhibit A for those that hate the SEC. I tweeted about that guy. What a baby. It's just a football game.

If Stanford & OSU lose bring on Boise State.
November 6, 201114 yr I haven't read any posts yet so I'd just give my imput before I do. First I had the score 6-3 us and had us right. LSU made the plays on defense and late when they had to. Trying long field goals and not punting them in a hole was huge, but Cade can hit those. The catch at the one was huge, our guy had the ball going down and I was sure the review would go our way. Coach Les did a great job, putting Maze back to field a punt at the 40 and letting it go to the 19 hurt, but why was he back there? Our guys played very well, and everyone said we out played them for the game, but lost in OT. Congrats to the LSU program and to the Bama haters. We can still have a great season and if some teams lose we could still have a really great season. My sons are taking this very hard, I'm OK, but I feel for my 14 year old when he goes to school. He posted a very classy post on Facebook, Mama has done a great job. I thought Coach Les did a really good good job and maybe we were out coached, our play calling had us screaming in the Bama cave. Throwing an out pattern on first down which got picked. No way. Short over the middle was open all nite. AJ missed a wide open reciever when Coach Saban went nuts. Haven't gone to the Bama board yet, waiting thats gonna be a long time.
November 6, 201114 yr I don’t want to see a rematch. Great defensive battle, great running games, LSU won special teams and that was what won the game. Neither QB played that great and I would rather see a Stanford or even Boise passing game against LSUs defense in the championship.
November 6, 201114 yr OK, I read your comments and have to say they were very fair. Clyde was right on. To get a rematch we have to have some teams lose The Cowboys plaay the Sooners, Stanford plays Oregon, Boise is a non thought. LSU goes to the Hog pen and thats a tough place and Bobby Petrino is doing well. I didn't want a rematch if we lost at home, but the final thought is you want the two best teams playing in the NCBCS. We stay in the top 6/7/8 and we can get back in. LSU also has to play a hot Georgia team. So, there is a lot left. Thanks again for the classy posts. I'll tell my family. Ok, I'm hurting too. But it is what it is. I had told Mama "Male won the Cards won and UK too, now I'm worried, and I was right". :jump:
November 6, 201114 yr I could watch those two defenses go at it again in a NC game. Lot's of football still to be played and there's a possibility Boise ends up as the only undefeated team. Wouldn't that be interesting.
November 6, 201114 yr Give me Bama/LSU in the BCS Championship or don't give me anything. If I can't have that then give me Boise State against LSU so we can rid the world of Boise State once and for all. No one in college football is better than these two teams and I really don't think LSU is better than Bama. Just luckier last night. AL, is it safe to assume you were screaming in the batcave in OT when Trent didn't get the ball? That bothered me to no end.
November 6, 201114 yr My thoughts... I used to think Miles was lucky and that was it. There's no doubt he's lucky, but how can you deny it? The guy can coach. He's not considered an X and O guy like Saban I suppose, and maybe he's not a great X and O guy, but two things I think he does as well as anyone are getting his team ready to play to win for 60 minutes and instilling confidence in his players. I've come around on the Mad Hatter. It's hard for me not to like him. A rematch may be justified depending on what happens, but my preference would be to see LSU play someone else. LSU vs. Boise State - That is the title game I'd love to see.
November 6, 201114 yr I don't. Its not like Bama didn't have a chance at the title. They got #1 at home and didn't come through. What more could they want? If Stanford & OSU lose bring on Boise State. This may be a shock, but I completely agree with you!!!! People like say say college football does not need a playoff because it makes the season be like the playoff. Which if that is the case, Alabama just lost their playoff game. Yes they are one of the top two teams, however they had their chance. So if we want to call the regular season a playoff, then they just lost. I think both Stanford and OSU will end up losing one game along the way. Which if that happens I think Boise would deserve a shot, even though people would not be happy about that. Which I know I would be in the minority but I think Boise could have a shot at beating LSU.

I think Broyles being out will hurt OU in their shoot-out with OSU. I think Luck is good enough to beat anyone.
November 7, 201114 yr Author I have seen some comments that if you don't win your conference championship you shouldn't have a shot (and that it was an unwritten rule)...but didn't Nebraska play for a BCS championship after not making it to the Big 12 championship?
