So the 2005 Breds are one of the top 2 1A teams ever from Northern Ky? Which Beechwood team?

Not as good as the Beechwood 1997 team (best ever) but similar to last years Beechwood team. I have always maintained that if NCC had held on to the 3-0 lead in the fourth quarter at Beechwood, they would have ru the table last year like Beechwood did.

NCC is very talented and they made very few mistakes tonight. The best 1A team won Class A and that is exactly how it is supposed to work out!

I know..I was joking...cant argue with you either...NCC played an outstanding game and deserve to be champs...

NewCath looked awesome tonight! It was fun to watch, especially the first quarter. Congrats to the Thoroughbreds!

Congratulations to Bob Schneider and the 'Breds. I'm sure this win has made the work through the last 21 years all worth it.

Congratulations to NCC on their State Championship season!!

And a special congrats to the Seniors, you have worked hard for the last 4 years for this moment and it came true!!

Congrats to NCC. The better team won and won big.

Congrats to Mayfield on a great year. You made us proud.

Congrats NCC! Way to bring home a State Championship to NKY!

Russell I agree obviously. LexCath would have been interesting. Remember CovCath lost only by a few in a shootout. CovCath was probably the 2nd best 3A team this year. Trinity I don't know. But this lil 1A school had alot of fire power this year.

How was CovCath the 2nd best team this year when they got beat at home by the Birds????????????? LexCath only scored 17 on HHS..LexCath and Trinity would crush NCC....You need to watch more football.Congrats on the win though........... :thumb:

Congrats to the Breds. Sounds like a fun game. :ylsuper:

That's the way to end a great season. :dancingpa :dancingpa

Congratulations Thoroughbreds

Thanks for bringing another championship back to Northern Kentucky!

A few more of those tough Green Team kids from the FTJFL. Must have been all that great coaching they had.

Congrats!!!! to the Breds!!!

Way to bring home the hardware, Josh, we're proud of you and very happy for you.

****There was applause at the CCH-Ashland basketball game when a score of 21-0 was announced.

Congrats Breds and Coach Bob for your first title in 21 years.

Now let me start some northern Ky fighting......How would this NCC team stack up all time with the other great NKy 1A teams?

It is hard to compare those teams to this years New Cath team. New Cath had a very good team this year but I think it is hard to compare them. In 91,94,and 97 we went undefeated. In 94 and 97 we beat the 3a Champ in Cov Cath.

Congrats to NCC, you were a great team, the best Mayfield played this season and you earned the state championship. Sam Diehl was unbelievable, he had nice zip on his ball and was very accurate plus his receivers did an excellent job catching the ball. I thought NCC's line did a great job on offense and defense. All in all it was a great effort on NCC's part. Mayfield had a great season and deserved to get as far as they did. It was a great ride and I enjoyed every minute of it. My stock line this year was " it's going to take a heck of a class 1A team to beat Mayfield". NCC was one heck of a class 1A team.
