After Mason, I would guess Montgomery.

Again build a bigger gym in your school districts to host, otherwise stop the crying. Now could someone please give me a bid on the popcorn?

So, you don't think the 10th should rotate the host site? I do agree that the field house is an awesome facility, but I just think that come tourney time the playing "field" should be leveled as much as possible.

I think it should be rotated .

Loved it! Mason Cnty fans hated it because they couldn't place their students behind the opposing teams bench! LOL

Clyde, What would everyone in the 9th say if the Cov Cath students sat right behind the Highlands bench during the Regional finals? Imagine the players sitting their during the game having to take the constant taunts and not to mention unable to hear their coach during timeouts as the students are purposely yelling so the opposing team can't hear? Do you think they would love it or would their be complaints?

Your scenario has already happened this year. Coach Flynn had to deal with the Crazies right behind his bench at Highlands.

Why in the world would Highlands put the visiting student section behind their own bench at a home game? Guess it wasn't football so not much thought was put into it.

The tournament does rotate based on each district's vote when it is their year to host. I don't see that changing. The fieldhouse is great... the way the run the regional tournament like it is the Mason Co. Invitational isn't great.

The state of Kentucky has a limit as to how big schools can build gyms now. No one can build as big as the Fieldhouse with tax dollars now. Just my opinion but the sweltering heat and being in one of the dozens of seats that you cannot see the scoreboards, either of them, did not make my experience last year pleasurable at all at Mason County! To see real crying go back a few years and listen to Mason fans when Montgomery county hosted!

In the early years of the Fieldhouse, Mason fans did set on the other side. It was changed a few years back. And there is no way they will let Clark fans sit in Mason's section. It just ain't going to happen but if Mason draws Visitors and wears blue then we should be on the other side and other bench.

I am gonna go out on a limb here and say Mason may not even be in the championship game this year!

I have a question that I hope someone can answer. The different districts vote where the region is going to be held. Once that decision is made, who is in charge of the regional tournament, the district that voted or the host school? For example, if the 38th district votes to have the tourney at Mason County, is the 38th district in charge or is Mason County in charge?

Bingo!!!! Then that is why the Region should be moved to an alternate site. This attitude is aparently prevelant with the tourney director as well. That being the case, don't complain because every other school in the Region doesn't like the way you run things. Your decision so deal with the complaints and consequences when others want it moved.
Why do everytime I post I have an attitude? Is it because I am from Mason County. All I am saying wherever the section for Clark, Mason, Harrison, Montgomery etc is designated for student section that is where they will sit. Nothing more, nothing less. No attitude and if Mason draws visitor Mason should sit on the other side.

I am assuming you mean both team and fans - if so then I applaud you - a voice of reason from Maysville. Do you think you could talk the Mason Co administration into using that same logic?

The one thing Mason County did that I have been saying is they won the thing at Montgomery. Again just win the tournament GRC and all this talk doesn't happen. Uh oh, Prices is Right is right around the corner.

You better read through those threads again. There was complaining before about not having enough seating (ended up not being a problem), the concession stand popcorn, the toilets.... And then there was complaining afterward about not enough people being there and potential money issues (I don't know if we ever got the whole truth on this.)

But to my knowledge, no one complained about the manner in which Montgomery Co treated the teams in the tournament. Home was home, guests were guests and people (including student section and those with reserved seating throughout the regular season) sat in their designated spot based on bracket placement.

So are u saying thats the only reason we won the game last year was because of the placement of where the fans sit?Im reading it that way because thats really all i keep seeing,Lol...
