December 28, 201015 yr It's a good beer, but maybe a little overhyped due to scarcity. On the east coast one of the things that makes Yuengling stand out for me is that you can get it on tap everywhere for the same price (or less) as the regular domestic light beers. You can get a high quality craft beer about anywhere, but you're going to pay for it. Since Yuengling is the same price as Bud Light, it sort of makes the latter option more worthless than it already is. In other words, it's hard to beat even when it's readily available.

I remember a time when my friends and I would do back flips on those rare occasions when we would get to drink Coors, which was not available in this area. Folks would bring cases back from visits out west or from Texas. Now that Coors is readily available in this area, I can't think of a single buddy who drinks it.

June 22, 201115 yr I finally had one of these about a month ago when I was in Buffalo, it was good. Reminded me of Amberbock which I also like.
June 22, 201115 yr Glad I work in Ohio now, won't be tough for me to pick up a case on the way home on Fridays lol By the way, I went to the brewery in Pottsville a couple a weeks ago and it was a great experience. To tour through a brewery that has been in use since 1831, very cool...nice samples too. While on tour one worker told me they'd be in Ohio by Christmas, the other said by August...so I guessed October lol.
September 9, 201115 yr Okay, so I went to visit my Dad in PA over Labor Day weekend and asked him about Yuengling. He said he didn't see the fuss. I told him I have never had it and I am going to take some home. I bought a 12 pack and had 3 watching Sons of Anarchy and 3 more last night during the Packers/Saints. Man....I love that beer. I am holding on to my last 6 and saving them for a special occasion so I can drink them all in one night. I'll be picking up a case or two every time I am in Tennessee now. Has it hit Ohio yet? If not, any word when it will? I am sure I would drink it exclusively if I could get it regularly.
