October 12, 201114 yr I've had them before. I was in Nashville last night and tried one again. Solid beer. Nothing I would get excited about though. To each his own. These are my thoughts. It's a good beer and it would be nice to have it as another domestic option in bars as it's vastly better than Bud Lite, Miller Lite, etc---but it's extremely overhyped. I honestly don't know what it retails for but if it's a similar price to those aforementioned beers than I would buy it fairly often outside of bars. However, if the price meets the hype I wouldn't buy any in a store.

Still like it better than most others. I did pick up Sam Adams Oktoberfest today.

This is exactly what makes Yuengling a good beer of choice for me - it's usually the same price or cheaper than the Buds and Millers of the world. They also make a black and tan that's pretty good too.
October 13, 201114 yr I almost wrecked when I saw it on a billboard. It's not my favorite beer but I'd take it over the other domestic options in a heart beat. I drink Miller/Bud about four times a year and that's only during the church festivals since that's the best/only thing they offer.

November 4, 201114 yr I know this is blasphemy, but in my early days of being corrupted by the evil dark lord Run to State, I tried a Yuengling and didn't like it at all. Last night, however, he tempted me yet again, but this time with a Yuengling Light. It was the best beer I've ever tasted...and I don't really like beer. :sssh: This was really good, and had a really complex flavor, which wasn't evident to me in the heavier lager.

I'd think I'll get a chance to try a Ky Bourbon Barrel Ale this weekend. You'll love it. I certainly do. They have them on draft for $2 at Longnecks in Wilder on Tuesday nights. Made a rough day at work on Wednesdays a few times. I'm even thinking about taking a Wednesday off here soon to throw a few too many down during the UK vs. Kansas game in a couple weeks.
