Whatever it was ya heard it 5! times last night.:lol:

A couple of protocol observations and questions:

 

1. I am surprised that NFHS/KHSAA rules allow more than 100 of people to be standing on the sidelines. I haven't been to Ryle in awhile but that was the first time I have seen that at any venue. Not sure of the exact number but it was in excess of 100- some small children actually sitting on the sidelines. Ryle was cautioned once for it but the chain gang was often delayed getting in place because of sideline crowd. Orange cards saying Ryle HS Football 2010 Field Level Pass seemed be the ticket to be able to roam the sideline. Made it difficult for teams, officials and fans in the stands. Is that typical or was it because there were so many fans in the stands? The far side stands were pretty empty though.

 

2. Music during the game; SK would be standing on the line of scrimmage and AC DC would be playing over the loud speaker.

 

Home field advantages I guess?

 

Not sure how many kids were wearing those t-shirts but I would say that SK owes some type of formal apology.

1. I'm not sure if there are rules for number on sideline. It definitely is attempted to be monitored by staff of Ryle. Many years ago, it got way out of hand and was far worse than last nights game.

2. Music might have played too long in some cases, (music is not supposed to be played during action of game) but that noise should not impact players on field any worse than the 4,000 people in attendance. At least it isn't like the World Cup games with the noise makers!

3. I would say about 6 appeared to be wearing them. Administrators from Ryle had to try and keep those kids from going in front of the Ryle crowd to avoid unnessary heckling or conflict.

The chain gang was on the SK sideline.

 

I know but there were tons of fans on both sides of the field. Wish I would have counted the numbers; crazy IMO.

 

 

Ryle got lucky again!

 

Man up and give Ryle the credit they earned on the field, twice this year.

Congrats to Ryle!!

Jeff Marksberry took over a horrid program and made it into a top 10 team in the state, and now it's "fire him"? It's unreal that Uk#1fan is even allowed to post on here anymore. Maybe he and BigZig can get together and moderate his BGP knock-off. Congrats to Ryle on the win, but congrats to SK on a remarkable run. It was fun to watch those kids play.

 

I totallly agree with this statement. I'm aware that a lot of people for some reason don't want Coach Marksberry there, but I believe that many need to remember where this team was seasons prior to a few years ago. Regardless of what many think, Marksberry has made this program turn a corner drastically from where it had been.

However, people are entitled to their opinions.

Two losses this year against the same NKY team. As I said I find that very hard to believe, since we all were led to believe that SK has outgrown NKY competition, and that NKY no longer presented a challenge to them. So its amazing that they lost twice to the same NKY team. I mean sometimes teams just have an off day, however this now twice has happened. Ryle is just the better team. So way to make us think that NKY no longer presented a challenge to SK, geez. :irked::sssh::thumb:

Then that is classless do not have the dignity to give Ryle any credit to what they have done this year to your team as well as others.

 

You are quick to call others classless but the fact is it shouldn't someone who is also classless. If someone is truly acting without class, take the higher road and show some yourself. It seems you have failed to do so.

 

On a side note, Ryle was not "lucky" again. Luck would mean fluke plays or other instances in a tight close game that may have resulted in a Ryle win. When you get beat by 21 points, that is NOT luck. When Ryle has beaten you twice in a year, that is NOT luck.

 

If you want us to respect you and your team, you need to be able to show a little respect yourself.
