Ryle did not "double"cover anyone- played their same defensive zone coverages. sK threw to the sidelines. Big defensive plays by Ryle in the secondary. Bend, don't break, then made the picks. Ryle dominated second half - probably had the ball 75% of second half.

 

They put two guys on #35 80% of the night.

No - he kicked straight in the air, pop up. Never hit the ground. Receiving team has right to call fair catch. That is why most on side kicks are beat into the ground. Nice Idea - did not catch the raiders sleeping.

 

So.. as I said again. The guy who called fair catch had no chance of getting there. Are you just gonna have to let the ball drop?

Nope - it is called zone coverage. Corner hits releases to the safety intermediate and long. Using your description both sides of the field have "double" coverage with two safeties in the lineup. My point was only to say that Ryle played the same defense in the secondary as they have for the whole season. And it was all on tape. Nothing different, nothing special.

 

Why wasn't the other receiver getting this treatment? And why didn't they do it the first game? It was clearly a different defense this time around.

In regard to fake punt. It looked like SK tried to draw Ryle offsides and couldn't, called timeout and set up fake attempt. If they could have put in punter at beginning and not have to call a timeout, it might have worked, you give a good coaching staff time to go over possibilities and it makes it more difficult to be successful. But it almost worked anyway! Pretty creative attempt in my opinion.

 

With your season on the line your okay running a fake punt when you need 6 yards, Not the best play in your playbook?

Congrats to Ryle. Ryle is a very good football team imo. This is no upset or should have even been close this go round. Ever since Ryle dumped their O Coord they have been a more balanced team, who calls the plays for Ryle now?

Ryle has the talent and depth to pull the upset off against T imo. I believe Ryle uses their win over the Birds this yr as their incentive that they Can beat anyone when it counts most. Good luck Raiders 1n10

I saw some highlights this morning. Looked like Ryle just owned the line of scrimmage on offense. I did catch Elliots 48 yd TD run on 1160 AM last night. What a night for him. SK had a good season, just lost to the better team. Twice

Great game last night. Perfect night for football and the Raiders win. Two picks in the end zone were the difference. Can't turn the ball over when you have driven down the field. Made for big momentum changers as it came at the end of the half and beginning of second, both chances to tie the game. Lawrence is amazing at making plays out of nothing and Elliott is a BEAST. Good Luck Raider next week.

 

How in the world does a parent or administration let this happen, this is totally classless. I know if this happened at NewCath there would be "hell to pay". I remind my daughter and her friends everytime they go out and they are wearing anything with their last name and/or NewCath on it that you not only represent yourself, but your parents, the school, its alum, faculty, & supporters. You are a walking billboard for everything that these individuals stand for. I know they are teens and sometimes might not be thinking. However the more they hear it, hopefully, the more they think before they act or speak.

 

I cringe when I see kids wearing their school spiritwear and they speak or act in ways that would make a parent or teacher want to hide.

BTW, it was Senvisky (#24) who called the fair catch. Check the pic above. He looks to be near the ball to me.
