I thought the first interception was a ball thrown to a spot on a timing route and the reciever never got there.

I also thought the completion on the deep scramble by Lawrence, thrown across the field to in front of Ryle's bench

was just amazing.

Nice pic Panda. Looks like there was a HUGE crowd last night, which was to be expected in a matchup like this.

This game was NOT an upset. Ryle beat Highlands. Simon Kenton will again be asking the what if question during the off season. Sorry Ukfan, your team is the 5th best team in class 6A

Great game last night. Perfect night for football and the Raiders win. Two picks in the end zone were the difference. Can't turn the ball over when you have driven down the field. Made for big momentum changers as it came at the end of the half and beginning of second, both chances to tie the game. Lawrence is amazing at making plays out of nothing and Elliott is a BEAST. Good Luck Raider next week.

In regard to fake punt. It looked like SK tried to draw Ryle offsides and couldn't, called timeout and set up fake attempt. If they could have put in punter at beginning and not have to call a timeout, it might have worked, you give a good coaching staff time to go over possibilities and it makes it more difficult to be successful. But it almost worked anyway! Pretty creative attempt in my opinion.

SK was man handled in the second half. No turnovers by Ryle, two red zone turnovers by SK, big play after big play by Ryle and better team wins. Congrats to this group of seniors. It has been a blast two watch you the last 4 years.

 

Here's a shot of the first interception. I am focused on Carroll making a TD catch and number 13 jumps in the frame and makes a remarkable catch. It really wasn't a bad ball by Lawrence; just a better play by the Ryle defender. On the second one, Lawrence made the signal to Winkler that it was coming his way but the play was never there.

Big play from the safety - momentum changer. Timed it perfectly, cut in front of the receiver and got up in the air to make the pick. In big games you have to make plays. Ryle made several.

Ryle's offensive line needs to be given a TON of credit this year. They have done a tremendous job both run blocking and pass blocking. They open some huge holes. Wish I knew all the names - maybe someone can fill in the blanks, but I know Delaney, Shilds, Teepen for sure.

Jeff Marksberry took over a horrid program and made it into a top 10 team in the state, and now it's "fire him"? It's unreal that Uk#1fan is even allowed to post on here anymore. Maybe he and BigZig can get together and moderate his BGP knock-off. Congrats to Ryle on the win, but congrats to SK on a remarkable run. It was fun to watch those kids play.
