Why is it crazy? I think its a legitimate statement. They have to be tired of getting "Spritzkied", especially with all the money that's been spent out there. Doesnt seem like a 6-6 program would spend this kind of money to be mediocre.

I will tell you that they were pretty much an also ran except for the 1981 team led by Mark Pike. What does money spent on a facility have to do with whether a team is successful or not. Heck look at Highlands facility. Perhaps you should support your team and spend less time bashing other teams coaches. Perhaps if he resigns, you can step up and be the next coach.

Clearly a legal hit in football and what LB's are taught to do so dont start with the cheap shot comments Dixie fans.

 

This play although it is what most coaches teach is actually against the rules. Very few refs call it but you are not allowed to hit a reciever that is in a pass route. If you do not believe me look it up, or ask a ref that knows the rules. I didn't know it was illegal until a few years ago when I saw it called and ask an official I know. I can't remeber what the pentaly is but I will try to find out.

Ok, I'm jumping on too. You are kidding right? I don't recall a penalty on the play. This is all part of the game, right?. Oh and these kids aren't even close to the "league" you speak of. Your comments really are far reaching. I expected better.

 

Oh and how bout the hit #5 put on Abner after the pick the following play. Crazy how you didn't comment on that. Really had no bearing on the play. It was unnecessary and would have been a $$$ fine in the league. HAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!

Guess I wasn't watching "off the ball". What happens in the upper leagues filters down to the lower one's. If they are "legislating" certain type hits out of the game, it won't be long before the HS level follows suit. Just glad BOTH boys weren't hurt. Its called "un written ethics" when commenting on Highlands players especially publicly and coming from a Highlands alum its not acceptable, whether its intentional or not.

You just said exactly what needed to be said. Ask Dale where they'd be with facilities like Dixie. Highlands has the desire to be successful regardless of what they have. Desire is not something you talk about either! You and Mike Brown are the only people I know that are content with new diggs that are happy to be .500 or less. With the talent and size that Dixie has every year they should be contenders! 6-6 to me isnt a contender...it's a pretender!! Do you know what would happen in Fort Thomas if Highlands had a 6-6 record?? Someone would be given an all expense paid one way vacation outta town.
