Since when doesnt Highlands have great facilities? That stadium is a fantastic place to play football. Great environment! Big screen TV! Great crowd! Club seating on the school side! Come on!

 

Defenders cannot contact receivers who are "in route". Once they "break" into their route, the contact is off limits. Those hits were helmet to helmet and it is a shame that the referee didnt throw the flag when he was right there to call it.

 

If we fire coaches who cannot beat Highlands, there will be no more high school football.

By "do well", I mean go deep into the playoffs, (but lose to Highlands.:banana:) Dixie got what they wanted and got away from Highlands and CovCath, so I'll give Spritzky the benefit of the doubt that he can win with a 6A schedule for next year. Thompson? Nope.

I've got nothing against either coach personally, and I do know them both. I just think they're hanging on to a ticket for a train that's left the station.

Duh Raiderbird, that's called ambiance at the Birdome, to use more Coach Shields vernacular! It's also what makes HHS a "unique" place to play. I think most HS facilities suck to watch a game at because of the lack of tradition, history, etc. But I think your probably agree.

The Dixie front office may want to look at some changes at the coaching level if they want to win the big games.Its sure not the lack of talent !!.

 

I know it's fashionable to bash Tom Spritzky but I think he got more out of his team this year than expected. He lost a lot of talent last year and came back and played a tough schedule. They probably beat CCH if their TWO quarterbacks do not go down.

... and if you find one who can beat Highlands, look for him to get hired away by a GCL school and end up at Moeller.

My statement should of had more substance focusing on player control and family which was definitely not evident the two games I attended this year.Bashing no,visual lack of control of the team yes.Big games are not won when you let this atmosphere exist.To a positive note,the staff did do their homework and did a nice job the first half,stamin and I guess a lack of talent cut them short.Good job to the Dixie Senior kids who gave their best for what they had to work with.
