With less than one minute to go in the 1st half, Cov. Cath. was up 21-14 with a first down inside the J.C. 5. They had the chance to go up 28-14 and would receive the kick to start the 3rd. The Eagles stopped the Colonels and forced the field goal attempt. Cov. Cath. missed the FG. J.C. opens the 2nd half by recovering an onside kick. Jude marches J.C. down the field in about a minute. From one minute to go in the 2nd to one minute gone in the 3rd the momentum completely turned around. The Eagles never looked back. Congratulations to Johnson Central and to J.J. Best of luck next week. The match-up with the Birds should be a classic.

Again, I wasn't talking about his performance. I just didn't agree that all of NKY had been "whoofing," whatever that means.

JC may face the same problem again, if HHS knows what there doing every play chances are they will contain it. This Jude kid will still probably rush for well over 100-150 hes too good not too.

It is true Highlands will have to switch their traditional D to face such a running attack like JC, there is no doubt about it.

Ok, what does Highlands running game have to do w/ the fact that Jude was able to do tonight? My mentioning Highlands was only to demonstrate that CovCath wasn't Woodford Co. They were a legit team, and this kid just demolished them. Great accomplishment.

Jude running over CCH is no surprise. It has everything to do with matchups. The Birds are ineffective minus Towles in the running dept. so therefore, they didn't expose CCH's run defense like J.C. Highlands rely's heavily on the pass and will be much more effective matched up with Central. They need Mccoy in the backfield.

Keep telling yourself HHS has no running game. Maybe Johnson Central will believe you. That would be good for HHS.

It was an impressive night by the Eagles. Probably the most complete game this year. JC made key adjustments in the 2nd half to stop the passing attack of Cov. Cath allowing them only 7 points. It seemed that their passing attack was less effective as the temperature started to drop. That coupled with the pressure the defense was able to apply on the QB. Jude was once again a beast breaking tackles and taking it the distance. Regardless of how people feel about the Woodford game and his accomplishment, he is legit. The O-line has steadily improved over the year and is now coming of age, at the right time.

Great win for JC. How many yards does Jude have to date?

Excellent game by Jude. With that being said, Covington Catholic gave up 611 yards rushing to Ryle this year. Their run defense is not their strength.
