Just more proof that a lot of things can change over the course of season ... for what it's worth, Marion County also handed Collins their only loss the next week.

 

In my mind, and possibly that of others, there is a big difference between saying a team would beat another and saying they would smoke them.

If you're going to make such a bold claim, you need to be able to back it up with some sound reasoning ... and don't be surprised if/when others question it.

I know you play football in Boyle County. I just don't think you are a top three team. You need to play some competition ranked in that area before you should be considered. Although, I must applaud Boyle's coaching staff for scheduling up next season. The only reason you have the state's longest winning streak is due to Ryle breaking one that had that position two weeks ago.

 

I didn't know that was a requirement to make Dave Cantralls rankings? The reason we have the State's longest winning streak is because we've currently won more games in a roll than any other team in Kentucky. DUH!

I haven't mentioned Highlands one time in this thread ...

 

Again, you made the claim that Bell County would smoke some of the highest-rated 5A and 6A teams ... I would say it's a bold one, and some others agree.

I've seen John Hardin, Ballard, and Bell County play. In MY OPINION John and Ballard would SMOKE them, kill them, drill them, own them, plant them, pwn them and send Bell packing back to the mountains. Remember this is my opinion and you would be wasting your time if you want to argue because they are not playing each other. :jump:

Does it really matter how Boyle County has the longest win streak in the state? Hopefully the Boyle County team can persuade throughout the playoffs. :thumb:

I went to that Marion County/Collins game and came away thinking Marion County was a legitimate Top 5 team in 4A. As the season went along that proved to be very wrong. So I agree, certainly things can change drastically over the course of a few weeks.

I love my Purples but I don't think they could beat Bell or Boyle County.

BG's overall team speed is better than either of those teams. If Bell or Boyle are on "that" level, i'd suggest they schedule teams that are consistently ranked in the top 10 in the state to eliminate any doubt or discussion. Beating Johnson Central doesn't convince many people.

Why would Highlands not be included in that conversation?? Are we counting state championships? Would that not be part of the equation?
