If Elliot plays, I think Ryle wins. If he doesn't, they lose.

You've picked against Ryle all year, have you been eating crow? I haven't seen it.

What's there to say? One top level team played, one major thrashing received.

There is a difference in making excuses and being a realist. SK will not be playing a healthy Ryle, and if the shoe was on the other foot, you would be saying the same thing. Remember in a few years, those 26 people will not remember this game. Hopefully it is a good game and both team will probably make the playoffs.

 

SK has had their share of injuries even with out their Head Coach.

The polling needs a third category, Ryle with or without Elliot. Sorry, but Ryle has placed all their eggs in the Elliot basket this year. The back-up may be pretty good, but the deficit is way to much to even get close to overcoming and with only a little over 300 yards passing for the year it even makes it less likely they will have much success without him. I don't believe for a second the lack of passing yards is the fault of Hemple. The coaching staff has for some reason, (Elliot probably) chosen not to throw a lot. Like most have said on here; Elliot plays Ryle wins if he doesn't SK wins the game.

Sk's offense has been just as potent this year without Simpson and they beat Ryle easily last year...I can't see how Ryle wins only if Elliot plays, they won't win either way they didn't last year and they won't this year...Sk can key on the run and shut down Elliot just as they did last week against Bradley of Cooper...If Ryle couldn't stop Cooper and Campbell theres no way they stop Sk

How does Elliot make a difference, he didn't last year? Cooper and Campbell both almost beat Ryle with Elliot and those two teams have no where near the defense of Sk...Neither of those teams had an offense like Sk does either...Sk has stopped every team that has tried to run the ball against them, Ryle can't pass...One more thing Sk is gelling, Ryle is melting away to a shell of Elliot and that shell is not going too keep covering up Ryles many flaws! Elliot is good but he cant beat the good teams by himself, hints the outcome of the Highlands game

People must have forgot SK's defense destroyed Ryle's O-line Austin Baldwin had 5 sacks in this game last year he should have another great night!

I think you may need to revisit the past, or at least go to KHSAA.org. SK's scored 117 points less after six games. That's a twenty point difference, so I wouldn't exactly say they've been just as potent. The offense has improved by leaps and bounds but they still have flaws.

Yes with the balance they are presenting this year, no longer the Miles Simpson show I feel they are just as potent...I didn't say more potent but the Chad Lawrence show has begun and it's not showing any signs of slowing up, His receivers catch almost everything and the only way to bring them down is too gang tackle them...Their defense is definitely improved and that makes up for what they lost in Simpson...Many people thought SK was done once Simpson graduated but they might be more dangerous now because Lawrence was second fiddle, granted he still shined but now he's the man...Lawrence can pass and run its like running the wildcat formation every time and it's almost impossible to shut him down, the O-line is improving drastically and SK is dangerous.

SK also gave up 113 through 6 games last year compared to 92 this year which is third in the state in 6A out of 36 teams...WOW...I believe that the the improvement in their defense has help reduce the impact of losing Simpson...Its just my opinion SK keeps improving every week and Ryle in my eyes is a huge underdog this week...You can't stop Chad Lawrence you can only hope to hold him to a first down and not a touchdown lol...He gets at least a first down I'd say probably 75% or more of the times he touches the ball which is everyplay...
