I think most of the ridiculous comments made by SK posters are made by former players who didn't win ten games their entire careers.

Is it safe to assume that Elliot will not be playing vs SK? The usual is for a player to be out at minimum 10 days and it usually is longer than that after suffering a concussion.

A few people like to talk about SKs win over Ryle last year and how it relates to this year. Its about as relevant as the Ryle / SK game two years ago. What about the Ryle / SK game 2 years ago? I recall Ryle won that one and it was at Ryle. This one is too. The truth of the matter it is less likely Ryle will give SK a bad beating this Friday without Elliott (who may may need some time off) but nonetheless Ryle seems to be able to do enough to win each week so far (except Highlands) and I would expect that to continue. Last year Ryle lost for one reason...they were unprepared for the weather. SK was able to keep their hands warm and Ryle could not. Its that simple. You can't tackle, throw or catch if you can't feel your hands. That was Sk's home field advantage last year -- they stayed inside longer before the game began and had the right equipment to keep warm during the game. Every Ryle player know this is true, and during the 3rd quarter last year when the weather improved Ryle scored a bunch of points. This week Ryle will not face that same disadvantage and will probably have four quarter of good weather. Conner Hemple is perfectly capable of carrying this team to victory with the help of the more balanced attack they are now forced into. Before SK knew what to prepare for -- Elliott. Now they have to prepared for the full potential of Hemple -- which hasn't been seen this year -- yet. He knows what to do and how to do it, and will kick it in to high gear Friday night!

 

Ryle will be successful exploiting several of their strengths which they haven't needed much this year because of over-reliance on Elliott.

The margin of victory will be provided by Ryle special teams.

Hock don't lower yourself to the level of some of the other posters in this thread. To state that Ryle lost last year because they weren't prepared for poor weather conditions is just silly. Did someone cancel their internet? Were the weather forecasters completely wrong that day? Why is it that Ryle didn't know what the weather was going to be like? Come on man that's just weak, plus in the end last years game has no bearing on this years.

I'm don't think Ryle's loss last year can/should be solely attributed to weather/cold. At the end of the day, Ryle did not have a good answer for Simpson. That kid was (is) one very special player and he certainly proved as much in that game (and many other games). I do think that the strong winds had a greater negative impact on Ryle's offense, as it was almost impossible to throw the ball early in the game and against the wind. But ultimately SK beat Ryle fair and square last year and I don't think any of the coaches would claim otherwise. I do think the outcome will be different this year. Coach Warner, Coach Woolf, and the rest of the staff will have this team ready to go.

If Hemple doesn't have capable targets to throw too it makes no difference and my guess is his wr's aren't very good and thats why he hasn't been throwing...Also I'm guessing you haven't seen the SK special teams unit, their very special...Fg's have been automatic this year and the punts are high deep tight spirals everytime!..Ha weather as an excuse for a football team losing i've heard it all now...Does SK retract a roof overthem when their on offense at home and is that how they won last year? If SK loses this year i'm going to blame it on the food they ate at lunch, I think their serving a new chicken nugget this Friday and SK's stomachs might not be used to them!:laugh:
