Not sure if anyone could go back and check?? But I think before Elliot got hurt Ryle was getting around 65% of the votes. I just voted yesterday for SK. If Elliot was playing I would have voted for Ryle.

I think you are getting a bit carried away with some recent success. Last year you had a RB talent that comes along in a 10 year cycle, and had an outstanding QB in Lawrence. This year, your RB is gone but you still have Lawrence who is a senior stud. The SK program will revert to midpack mediocrity after this season. Enjoy the run, remember one thing..........you are in a public school system. You will NEVER build a dynasty, it's just that simple. Public schools have nice 2-3 year runs with a good crop of players, and then usually revert to mediocrity. Thats just the way it is. Keep cheering for your team this year, the run ends after this season. Just hope you can handle the roller coaster ride.

But for some reason the past few weeks I keep hearing how Conner, Cooper and Ryle are in good hands for the next few years, That's great too bad SK isn't allowed to have talented players in the pipeline:confused:. Success will bring out more talented players to the football team that in the past wouldn't have suited up for SK. Players develop, they get bigger, faster, stronger and nobody can say that SK will be mediocre again. When I went to SK the athletes were playing basketball, baseball and even soccer, more of those kids are now coming out for football. The truth is without Simpson and Lawrence I wouldn't see SK as continuing this success but because they put this program on the map I believe they will keep building on it. Conner has had talented players recently but NO STATE FINALS OR SEMI FINALS, Why is that?

First of all, I was never on here talking about how great Conner is and what a dynasty they have created, that would be you. The only thing I claimed was that Coach Trosper is doing some good things in Hebron and his rewards should payoff soon enough. I am not hatin' on SK, you just need to realize that public school success is cyclical more times than not. It's not a big deal, just the way it is. How many state titles does SK have? I do believe Conner has more. As far as recently, let me build a new school 5 miles from SK, take nearly half of your student population, then will talk about whats wrong with SK. Conner will be where they belong for the next 4 seasons. I would be willing to bet you that over the next four years, Conner will have more success in the playoffs than SK.

Gotta go with Ryle on this one.

That's funny. Hock did make a weak excuse about last year so he earned your tribute for sure. It will be a great game as Ryle adjusts to life without 6 starters but everyone steps up and plays great. Seems like we keep losing a starter each week. That's what a team is all about. I view both as good teams.

Honestly he really was kind of funny. Not sure he meant to be most of the time, but he was indeed good for a laugh. And he was, without a doubt, one of the most consistent posters I've ever seen on BGP. If my golf game was half as consistent as he was I could have replaced Mickelson in the Ryder Cup.

Can somebody in Union please tell me what is going on with Hempel? I took a look back at his numbers and they just don't make sense to me.

 

2010-27 of 67 330 yards 2 TD's and 2 INT's.

2009-130 of 220 1,894 yards 18 TD's and 9 INT's.

2008-136 of 228 1,410 yards 17 TD's and 7 INT's.

 

At his current pace, he will not even be in the ballpark of his soph. and jr. years. Can someone tell me why they are not letting this D1 QB throw the football?
