Based on what? Initial indications are that it's a fairly serious injury. Hopefully all will turn out well, but way too early to think he'll be playing.

I played high school football.. I had a fairly serious injury and was told I wouldn't return the next week. I did, with no regrets. I feel the same for Elliot, especially since he's twice the athlete I ever was.

Agreed and agreed. I think if Elliot can play he'll play. I hope he can and on the other side I agree with Neerfan I only want him playing if it's the right call(he still has another year left and it'd be silly to risk further injury at this point).

 

Me personally I want EVERYONE healthy on both sides of the ball next week because I don't want to hear excecuses from EITHER side, especially the team that I'll be routing for.

It is odd that people are voting but no one posting...remember you are talking about high school football. 20 years from now and we will be wondering who won? doubt it. Hopefully Elliott is ok and not hurt seriously....in the long run sportmanship counts more.

I think Ryle is too one dimensional, they have to develop a passing game and there is no reason not to have one with a QB like Hemple. If Elliot is out I really feel it could get ugly. I like Ryle so don't take it as bashing Ryle, they need a better passing attack and don't tell me you can't find enough good receivers at Ryle to make this happen. Maybe Ryle is holding back until they play SK or Highlands again, we'll find out soon?

SK has a balanced attack which is hard to defend. They have a good QB who can run or pass and a good running attack as well !!!

SK has been totally unimpressive to me this year. It looks like Ryle is joining them at that level and if Elliot doesn't play, they lose. Maybe big.

SK's defense has given up the third fewest points in all of 6A this year behind Trinity and Greenwood...SK has given up 92, Greenwood 84, Trinity 79...I like SK's chances to be in the game with anyone in the state because of their defense...And I like SK's chances to blow out anyone in 6A not named Trinity with Chad Lawrence and his many receivers on Offense

At this point, I'm not sure SK could hang within 2 td's of Trinity. That may change as the season progresses, but we'll see.

This one will be one to go see...If the Elliot kid is ok this will be a pick and a close one..If he does not play, I like SK by 10. Either way I hope the young man is OK. Good luck to both.
