  1. 1. Should the Bengals draft a QB?

    • Yes, CP is washed up.
    • No, CP is still one of the best in the NFL
    • They won't, but they should

No meant Bowers to Carolina I was hoing he would slip to Cincy. Bengals prob wont have a shot at Luck next year, cant win more than 2 or 3 for him, schedule will be easier.

Good point regarding the easier schedule in the socialistic NFL, but never underestimate the Bengals' ability to create losses? Exactly who do you think will be worse next year? All the other losers fired their coaches, and will actually try to improve their teams, while Mikey boy "Stays the course"??

 Like it would have mattered. Now I've heard it all. This is ridiculous. A BGP membership is worth the price if only to see the eternal optimism of Bengals fans. The poor little Bengals had to play the toughest schedule in the NFL. Teams like the Panthers and Bills are just too big and bad. I have heard it all, you're willing to use anything as an excuse for this team. What's next, the weather in Cincy was too cold this season?

I love the smug way you change the topic to try to look smart. To me you look the opposite. The fact is they played the toughest schedule in the NFL. How many games did the Bengals win in 08? How many did they win in 09? The Bengals benefit from good schedules on occasion. You act like I think what they do is smart. I know it's dumb but it's not changing. They would be crazy not to take a chance next year. Hoping Cam Newton is better than Palmer next year or ever is goofy. Hoping Zimmer or another coordinator will get lucky is crazy. If they can't win half of their games and Carson is worse than he was this year you draft a qb in the first round next year and fire Marvin. Not a hard concept.

Bengals made playoffs 2 years ago... the truth is somewhere between the last 2 years. More of a Texan type team right now.

Hopefully they do not go WR. There are always quality wideouts in free agency and after the first round of the draft. They should just focus on the running game. I would love Ingram to fall to the second round haha. But they should use two tight end sets more with Coffman and Gresham. They could run or pass out of that formation easily. Peterson or trading out of the fourth spot looks like the best bet. I don't really like this number four spot. I see a lot more value in having more late first, early second round picks. Pick up some O-line, Ingram, maybe a safety, or definitely a corner if JJ leaves. I am comfortable with the linebackers being Rivers, Rey, and Brandon Johnson.

If Marvin left I was figuring they would just promote Zimmer, so I was hoping they would have went after a guy like Singletary. I think he would have really helped out the young linebackers on this team. On a side note, if they keep Brat I doubt I will be going to any games next year.

SSC you complained about the schedule, so it's not like I made that up or changed the topic. Next excuse please.

No I didn't. Again you are making stuff up. I said they had the toughest schedule in the NFL. Look it up. Stating a fact is far from complaining.

The fact remains that the toughest schedule bit is true. They played all the teams in the AFC that made the playoffs except Kansas City. Which if the Bengals lost to the Chargers, the Chargers would have made it and it would have been every playoff team in the AFC they played. They played the Saints, and Falcons who made the playoffs in the NFC. They also played Tampa Bay who barely missed it at 10 and 6. Not to mention they played Pittsburgh, and Baltimore twice. So they played a total of 9 games against playoff teams this year. Then you also had the Chargers, and Tampa who barely missed it, and the Chargers missing it because of the Bengals. Not to mention that even with this tough schedule, the Bengals played basically everyone tough, and lost 7 games by 7 points or less. Call it excuses if you want, which I am sure you will since you like to ignore facts. However that is how it is, and shows the Bengals really aren't to far off with the right changes.

I agree with you about the schedule this year versus last year. The Bengals will go at least 8-8 next year with the easier schedule regardless of what changes they make in coaches.

PLLLLLEEEEAAAAAASSSSSEEEEE draft Bowers or Fairley; I want a dominant pass rush.

Carolina has to draft offense; their defense was solid; they will either take a shot on Locker, Gabbert, or Newton or take Green at WR.

WHY?? The other bad teams on their schedule are getting better, while Mike "Stays the course", and Marvin states "if we can just execute better"??
