cooperstown
Is that football rule or is that a Harvard athletics rule? I try to watch the Harvard/Yale game each year. I'd love to see 4 playing in that one. Not sure. I just know he was told that he couldn't do both. Since it's the football team that is actively recruiting him, he must have been told by the football coach. Whether it's a football rule or school rule, I'm not sure. But given the demands of a Harvard academic life, it probably makes sense.

I remember seeing this article about Craig Breslow, a pitcher on the Oakland Athletics (Link:http://sports.yahoo.com/mlb/news?slug=jp-breslow091410 ) . He's a Yale graduate. Division I sports can be very time consuming. I've heard that pitchers, in a way, have a lot more flexibility in their scheduling of college classes to try to take more challenging course work. Between travel and practice, it can be hard to make time to study and do demanding course work.

Here's a light easy read by a Yale grad about his one year in the minors. http://www.amazon.com/Odd-Man-Out-League-Misfit/dp/B002IKLMPM/ref=sr_1_3?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1285163777&sr=1-

The Hulk.......2
Beechwood is going to have a nice team with several top players. Bertke as mentioned above. Larimore will be back this year and is totally focused on baseball. Cottingham will be one of the top catchers. agreed. Beechwood has a lot of talent this year. Colin Johnson-P Dylan Cottingham-C Josh Bertke-3B/P Michael Colosimo-2B/P Brad Leeke-OF all above average players. plus the addition of Zach Larimore-SS/P who missed last season due to a knee injury, and Ben Studer-OF/P who missed last season due to spine surgery. Beechwood looks top-knotch on paper.
