You don't hear J. Frisk's name called out too often. But i would say those two, plus Miles is the best that i've seen...in NKY. But statewide i would throw in Penner and shelton in this list as well.

Statewide I add Michael Bush I know he finished his career as a QB but he was a pretty good running back as a Junior or So. which ever year I saw him play at Highlands.

I hear the Highlands fans talk about Frisk. I never saw him run. What was his style and what made him so good?

He was a punishing runner with a strong upper body and ran like a deer. Very tough to tackle in the open field and had a motor unlike many I have ever seen.

Funny I thought about putting him on the list next but only saw him play 1 time but he was awesome that night and wasn't sure if he was always that good and apparently he was.

Anybody remember the kid that played for Newport in early 90's? I cant think of his name but he was super fast and and would flat out drill DB's when he ran the ball.

Lickert was the punisher. In college Justin ran hard, in high school he was more of a home run hitter. He was very smart in how he took contact. He wasn't going to carry 10 guys like Lickert, but you wouldn't tackle him one on one b/c of his spin move, and as you anticipated that he would truck you. His speed set him apart. People really don't give Skirvin his just due. I played and tackled both of those guys. Frisk made you look stupid, but Skirvin left cleat marks on your chest.
