Everyone should add Jalen Beal to their radar screen. He will be an incoming freshman at Beechwood, and when it's all said and done, will be better statistically than any name mentioned in this thread imo. Great runner with a tremendous aresenal of weapons. Great size, speed, multiple gears, great vision and great attitude. Should be fun watching his career blossom.

 

I agree. Not only is Beal a stud on the hardwood, but there's talks that he may even be better on the gridiron. Hands down the most talented kid for that class.

 

Holmes will also have some very good running backs this year. I believe in one game last year, they had 9 different kids run the ball.

 

Damian Oden, Jesse Jensen, and Greg Clemons will be a nasty trio in the backfield for the Dogs.

He's had 245 carries over the past two seasons but I have no idea what other options the Rebels may have.

Add in Chris Kelly at New Cath. And here is the impressive thing ... all three of these guys will just be juniors next year!

 

Naw, your wrong. Kelly will be a Senior at NC. Dont know who the other two kids are so maybe you are right on them.

Beal had a great year in the Boone County youth system, but I think it's a little early to promote him to the status of one of the top varsity running backs in NKY for 2011. Although, he will be above average for freshman, he's just not quite the varsity stud until he gets a good year + in the weight room. JMO.

He was also just better than everyone else in the league. The competition will catch up to him this year but he's still going to a very good back.

I agree with your post. When I said "when it's all said and done" in my post, I did not mean he would have a break out year in 2011. What I was trying to say is when his senior year is concluded, check his stats against any other player mentioned in this thread. IMO, he will stand above all of them.

Leaning towards the "dark side" but Mom and Dad are still undecided. If he stays in the county CCHS freshman will be stacked.

What about the Scruggs kid that played for Bengal Tigers this past year? Any chance he sees varsity time at Holmes?

Him and Aaron Floyd will contend for two of the top backs in the state in 2-4 years.

I'm with ya now. I agree, if has the slightest bit of an OLine, his junior and senior years should be tremendous. The kid is a great athlete and a great and respectful young man as well.

Bradley from Cooper should definitely be on everyone's list! This kid is a stud running back and a great team leader. The other kids at Cooper really thrive off Bradley.
