What about the Scruggs kid that played for Bengal Tigers this past year? Any chance he sees varsity time at Holmes?

 

Lickert has played Freshman in the past. But their strength lies in their backfield. So he has to work his way in between Greg Clemons & Damian Oden, which is Scruggs 1st cousin.

 

I think with Scruggs speed they will use him defensively for sure. Also, Jonathan is running track and has won all the meets he has ran versus freshmen as an 8th grader. He ran a 11.77 at Bellevue the other day. And he was named athlete of the week in a meet in frankfort. Here is the article. Great Job Jon!

I would hope so. You can't be named coach of the year without having an extremely successful season.

 

And back to the thread, I expect Compton and Streeter of Highlands to each have a very, very good year.

Everyone should add Jalen Beal to their radar screen. He will be an incoming freshman at Beechwood, and when it's all said and done, will be better statistically than any name mentioned in this thread imo. Great runner with a tremendous aresenal of weapons. Great size, speed, multiple gears, great vision and great attitude. Should be fun watching his career blossom.

I watched Compton play last year on JV and he does not look like a HHS RB. He looks like a guard...however, i know you Birds fans are going to say "his speed and size is deceiving"....but I think he looks like a NG. sorry
