Hayes impressed me last year, he has very good instincts and good balance. He should give Kelly a break now and then. Jack G. is back and he's at least 6'10" 330 lbs. Tough to run up the middle against the Breds whan he's at nose.

 

Wow! :scared: I knew he was going to be big when he was younger but that's BIG! Does he still have trouble with his ankles or knees? Seems like they used to bother him some but that could have been because he was growing so fast.

Whether he was a 100% is valid point...but you still defend that he is the best back in the state of KY, despite not being healthy. Wow...if it wasn't for that ankle he'd be starting RB for Bama next year over the Heisman Trophy winner.

He got hurt in the X game and all season he was constantly getting his ankle worked on during games he was never 100%.

Miles and about a hundred othe athletes nursed ankles and other injuries throughout the season, so please don't say he was at a disadvantage. ukfan36, I am now under the impression that you speak just to convince yourself and as this is an open forum, we all just have to take it in and get a good laugh.

No related to your post, but Miles dad was one heck of a football RB at Newport in his day. Just ask Family Tradition and Sweeperboy, they are still having cold sweat nightmares on occasions about that 1980 matchup with Newport. I agree where your trying to hit here though!!!!:thumb:

Those were the days of the Sub-district, when one loss meant you would miss the playoff's. I don't like the 6 classes of today, but I hated the Sub-district scenario of the late 70's early 80's.

Yeah no kidding....We lost 3 games by less than 4 points my Senior year and it kept us out of the playoffs that year. We were starting to play pretty good towards the end and then we were snub from the playoffs. That 80 HHS was a dandy. They went 9-1 and missed the playoffs because of the loss to Newport. That is heartbreaking when that happens especially when 12-15 years later a 0-10 Greenup County team traveled to Ft Thomas for the 1st round of the playoffs. Seems fair to me!!!!:irked:

My junior year we had one loss by 2 points. Yep, we missed the playoffs. Regular season games sure seemed more intense back then.

Cameron Vocke should have a breakout year. Cameron is a stud and should be fun to watch these next two years!
