After a month on the road one thing is for sure. Indiana is LOADED with talent for years and show no sign of slowing down. Once you start to think you have a good feel for what that state has on the way up, you find 4 or 5 more kids that rate at worst mid major plus. An early count says they should have right around 10 of the top 100 in 2012 with Devauntes Smith-Riverra, Garry Johnson, Yogi Ferrell, Jeremy Hollowell, Ron Patterson, Dejuan Marerro, Ronnie Johnson and at least 2 more of a list from 5 or so other kids that are still developing. Spiece and Indy Elite raised the bar and Eric Gordon, D3, SYF and others are stepping up to the challenge.

As someone that has been working my way into this for a long time now, you always hear of these kids that explode on the scene but it's rare with all of the events that you actually get to see it in person. Anthony Davis went from someone a few of us knew was under the radar and about to blow up to watching the kid show up and say it's 5 star or bust with their play. The 6'9" PF was 6'4" a year ago and outside of a groundswell of hype growing at the 2 events he played in leading up to arriving in Ft Wayne was a complete unknown. By this morning he was a must see for everyone in the gym for an all around game you just don't see from someone his size and length very often. He also has a 3.8 GPA and handled every interview thrown at him like a pro even though this was his first time in the spotlight.

Got my first look at a few 2013 Ohio kids from Toledo I've been hearing about since 2008 in Nigel Hayes and Mark Loving. I do all I can not to watch anything under 15U because it's such a crap shoot, and I managed to make the wait on these two and wasn't disappointed. While their games are quite a bit different (Loving is a combo forward with perimeter game and Hayes is a combo forward freak athlete) both are already in the 6'6" plus range and are far from raw already. The 15U All Ohio Red squad is going to get a lot more attention from me to track how these two kids progress.

I've got more, but I have got to get some sleep...

Indy is loaded with talent at the younger levels as well. I know in the U11 the Indy Hoosiers should have won nationals last year and probably will this year. They have three kids over 6 foot already. NBA2B and Bloomington Red are two more top team in the country at this age level.

Just found this on Jody Demlings site. It is a list of boys and girls playing AAU and their teams they play for. If you see someone missing, e-mail Jody.

I have been trying to put this list together for several weeks but keep getting emails on kids, so here it goes.

This post is a listing of all the basketball players from Kentucky and Southern Indiana - boys and girls - and what AAU team they are playing for this spring.

Now, a lot of kids will change and some teams I still don't have rosters for. But this is as complete of a listing as I have right now.

By the way, the years listed for the boys are the grades they will be in next fall when the school year begins.

There will be a lot of great basketball to be watched this summer. Looking forward to the AMC next weekend.

Anyone heard anything about The Ville (playing up in 16U)??

I know the coach pulled them out late of at least two events...

Tattoos

Corn rows

White T-Shirts

Wow..sounds scary.

Dominique Hawkins of Madison Central is also going to start playing for the Ville.

Anyone know the reason why?

Heard that C. McClendon from Holmes is being recruited pretty heavily aroung the SEC- someone saw it on another message board.

Anybody have any details? The claim was that he was the 38th rated player in 2013.

I actually had no clue that McClendon was being recruited this early.

He was the leading scorer last year though for the KY Elite team that finished, I believe, top 10 at nationals. He must be having another good summer.

Link? I believe there are only a few local teams that are ranked in the AAU National Top 10 Power Rankings.

N. KY. Tarheels (KY Select)

Cincy Knights

N. KY Tarheels (U11)

My bad...they finished in the top 20 out of 128 D1 teams last summer at nationals.

Some of their other accolades from last summer include finishing 2nd in the state, Final 8 at the KnoxVegas Heat, 2nd in the Eddie Ford Hoops Stimulas tourney, Final four in the Adidas Takes 5ive tourney at UC, and winning the Adidas May Classic in Bloomington. They also won many local/regional tournaments around the state.

Here is a complete breakdown of Kentucky Elite's final stats from nationals last year:

Total Points Avg 2pt Fg % 3pt Fg % FT %

Christian McClendon 77 11 14-20 70 14-39 36 7-11 64

Blake Sanders 67 9.6 12-26 46 7-15 47 22-31 71

Mason Monroe 62 8.9 15-30 50 5-14 36 15-20 75

Quin Richardson 43 6.1 11-27 41 5-13 38 6-9 67

Derek Willis 42 6 11-25 44 6-14 43 2-4 50

Nate McGovney 37 5.3 14-28 50 1-6 17 6-13 46

Dalton Cornett 24 3.9 11-16 69 - - 2-2 100

Isaiah Jones 22 3.1 6-23 26 1-1 100 7-8 88

Jackson Davis 20 2.9 9-35 26 - - 2-7 29

Cameron Lewis 15 2.1 7-22 32 0-1 - 1-8 13

Dontex Byrd 2 1.0 0-3 - - - 2-2 100

Not sure about Scout, but I know Rivals usually doesn't release it's ranking for a class until they are heading in to their junior year.

They will compile a short list of 10 or 12 of the top players as sophomores, but you won't find a top 150.

They still have profile pages for a lot of younger kids getting high major looks...

It's still to soon for this class. When they are Juniors or Seniors you will know who the best kids will be.
