Interesting take. However, based on what I saw of the teams this year (not past performances and not on won-loss records) I think Ryle was better than Trinity (although to be fair, I saw Trinity play early in the year and some believe that Trinity was much better later. They were simply terrible against Cincy X and if they got better, they would have had to get a lot better to be better than Ryle) and Male (not a very good football team this year. Withrow was better than Central. Colerain was no where near the Colerain of past (although I expect that to change this year). And Cinti X was above every one on Manual's schedule. Just my opinion based on my observations.

 

Add the 2007 team. On the schedule was Trotwood (Ohio power) at Nippert. Kentucky state champs LexCath and Louisville Central and a very good Madison Central team in 07. Also scrimmaged state champ Beechwood and Male.

Should one assume, from the lack of a direct answer to the question posed, the Manual didn't win any/many/most of the 4 or 5 games with the powers?

 

You may be right, that Highlands may not go undefeated with Manual's schedule.

 

But, since this is a thread about the scrimmage between Trinity and Highlands, perhaps we can get back on topic.

 

Question for the Trinity fans - Who have you traditionally scrimmaged in recent history?

 

In recent history Trinity would scrimmage Madison Central and Lexington Catholic each year. I believe that last year they scrimmaged Cincinnati Moeller.

Who did Trinity ditch to agree to play this game or was this an open week of practice for them and they usually didnt do a scrimmage?

Wow!!!!! You sound like you have had a rough week my friend. I am one that think it is a great thing that these 2 programs are meeting to start off the season. It really gives the Birds an advantage playing the likes of Trinity this early to better prepare them for the 2010 season. This isn't the first time Trinity has been to HHS. They came in 2008 for a passing camp. I can't wait to see how many players T actually brings for this game. It will be well over 100 if it is anything like the way HHS/Male have done it years past. I think you are mistaken who will be intimidated here. Good luck!!!
