I really don't know the answer to this one, but how many of the 4 or 5 games with the highlighted power teams did Manual win last year?

 

The better question is, would Highlands go undefeated vs. Manual's schedule?

As far as Highlands schedule, I would concede the Cinci St. X game but don't think anyone else on the schedule would cause much concern!

The point I am making is that just because you don't have one of the 3 toughest schedules in the state for 1 year, doesnt mean you have a weak schedule. Highlands beating Cincy St. X was enormous. Highlands is a public school with roughly 800 students half boys. That means Highlands has about 400 boys. Cincy St. X had 1,550 males last year. Not to mention that X is a private school. Anyways a lot of schools will not play Highlands. Year in year out on average Highlands typically has one of the toughest schedules in the state. There are many years Highlands could play a much easier schedule go undefeated and win the state championship, but Highlands chooses to play a big Cincinnati school almost every year. Don't forget that Highlands plays 2 classes up and has won every 5A state championship.

Get off the playing up 2 classes already.

Some would argue that the top of 4A is just as strong, if not stronger, then the top of 5A. (Boyle Co., Bell Co., Lex. Catholic, Lone Oak to name a few.)

Also, only 11 can be on the field at once. Enrollment is irrelevent. It's about having the right eleven.

Don't be so sensitive. Nobody is saying that Highlands isn't a top flight football program. It's just that they don't play the most difficult schedule.

Wow!!!!! You sound like you have had a rough week my friend. I am one that think it is a great thing that these 2 programs are meeting to start off the season. It really gives the Birds an advantage playing the likes of Trinity this early to better prepare them for the 2010 season. This isn't the first time Trinity has been to HHS. They came in 2008 for a passing camp. I can't wait to see how many players T actually brings for this game. It will be well over 100 if it is anything like the way HHS/Male have done it years past. I think you are mistaken who will be intimidated here. Good luck!!!
