I am a bit confused. I thought this thread was about Trinity and Highlands scrimmaging. I don't remember seeing Manual mentioned anywhere. If Highlands and Manual switched schedules, I think Highlands would tie Highlands and Manual would tie Manual. Otherwise, I think it is a silly debate. And to keep on topic, it should be a great scrimmage to watch.

You will be in awe alright when you check out the lovely DCM. I know Sweeperboy made a comment earlier about something that touched a few nerves. I think after you see the condition of our facilities as a whole you will take his comment with tongue and cheek.:thumb:

 

Wow!!!!! You sound like you have had a rough week my friend. I am one that think it is a great thing that these 2 programs are meeting to start off the season. It really gives the Birds an advantage playing the likes of Trinity this early to better prepare them for the 2010 season. This isn't the first time Trinity has been to HHS. They came in 2008 for a passing camp. I can't wait to see how many players T actually brings for this game. It will be well over 100 if it is anything like the way HHS/Male have done it years past. I think you are mistaken who will be intimidated here. Good luck!!!

Get off the playing up 2 classes already.

Some would argue that the top of 4A is just as strong, if not stronger, then the top of 5A. (Boyle Co., Bell Co., Lex. Catholic, Lone Oak to name a few.)

Also, only 11 can be on the field at once. Enrollment is irrelevent. It's about having the right eleven.

Don't be so sensitive. Nobody is saying that Highlands isn't a top flight football program. It's just that they don't play the most difficult schedule.

 

I think it is impressive that Highlands plays up 2 classes and others would agree. Imagine if Highlands were in their designated class. Many other states determine whether or not they get in the playoffs. The other states get points depending on the class that the team they play is in.

 

By definition the MOST difficult schedule can only go to 1 team. For the country, it is Cincy St. X. For the state maybe Manual, but Highlands schedule is always up in the top 10 in the state. My senior year we played Elder (defending champ), Boyle (defending champ), Danville (defending champ).

Stop trying to deflect off of the weakness of Highlands schedule.

IMO, Manual, Trinity and St. X have the toughest schedules in the state of Kentucky. There really is no comparisons in this state. Just the facts.

That really tough schedule did you a lot of good...getting slaughtered by the even slightly good teams.

The Rocks will do their darndest to prove themselves worthy of the honor of scrimmaging the mighty Bluebirds. I sure hope we don't have Bluebird poop on our heads when we leave. Thank you to Highlands for allowing us to have the opportunity to step on the same field with you. I'm sure you'll find us to be properly in awe and cowed by the institution that is HHS.
