I thought Colt McCoy was awesome with his interview. 100% class, well spoken, and with some personality that was real.

Okay, then do you think it was a good question asked in the proper time?

 

I do. Colt could have avoided the media had he not wanted to speak.

 

It's not too far fetched to think that this came up back in the locker room with his Dad.

First of all congrats to Alabama and the BGP / Alabama fans, I know that Bama Larry is celebrating right now and you deserve it my friend. :thumb:

 

I cannot say enough about the class and dignity that Colt McCoy showed after the game when ask that stupid question that I believe we all knew would be ask. I couldn't help but get a little emotional when I heard what he said.....it was pure class. McCoy has been in more winning football games than any other qb ever in the college game.

Alabama deserved the win, no doubt about that but I can't help but wonder the "what if" had Colt McCoy not went down, especially on the 2nd series of the football game. I honesly believe that Texas wins this game with McCoy but that is one of those "if a frog had wings" statement. Texas's defense imo was outstanding and kept the Longhorns in the game and had gave the the chance to come all the way back when I thought there was none. Also, the freshman qb played well as can be expected in that situation, he is going to be a very good one in the future. Jordan Shipley was great in the 2nd half.

I was glad to see Bama return to the top, besides U.K. the Tide is my favorite SEC team and if Ohio State or U.K. can't win it all I would just as soon see Bama win the NC. M. Ingram had another great game and imo that guy is all class as well. College football needs more like McCoy and Ingram, we here way too much about the bad things that happen in college sports and not close to enough about those kind of people ( Ingram and McCoy).

Saban is just one of if not the best football coach in the country right now along with Mac Brown. Brown imo sets the standard for class as far as coaches go.

Alabama has alot of this years team returning along with no doubt some top notch talent coming in. I wouldn't be one bit suprised to see them back in position to win it all again next season, they certainly imo will be amoung the top 5 and higher going into the season.

I love college football and will be going through withdrawl untill August. I also love college basketball and will have that and my U.K. Wildcats to pull me through untill April.

I know I went on and on, just there is nothing like college athletics, imo any college sport is much better to watch than any pro sport anywhere.

Oldrambler - Let me preface this by saying good post & that this is not directed solely at you.

 

It is not uncommon for people to say that we don't hear enough about the class acts and good people in sports. But, if you search through the threads, Tim Tebow is one of the most disliked people in college football because all we ever hear about is how great he is.

 

Does the general public really want to see more of the good deeds that these kids do? After reading many of the comments regarding Tim Tebow, I have my doubts. But, that's best suited for another thread.

Its real late. Thanks to the posters with their very nice comments to me.

 

Coach Saban deserves credit with the staff, and yes he was worth the money Coach Buckett, even before this season he was worth it.

 

When Colt was asked the question I shouted Oh NO! But he did an amazing job with it. I didn't want to see him get hurt. On the hit I told folks he is hurt, something about his face.

 

A really nice kid, hope he does real well in the NFL. I felt for his dad/mom.

 

Horns didn't quit and I knew we had to play well to win even after Colt left, but I'm fooling myself if I didn't think our chances of winning went up by a huge margin.

 

Kickoff returns hurt, give the Horns credit on their hustle, give us credit on our Defense.

 

Mama told me she was happy for me, and I thank God for her.

Congrats to Alabama. Too bad McCoy got injured, I would have loved to see the outcome had he been able to play.

Congrats to Alabama on the win, and winning another championship for the SEC. I'm happy for all of the die hard Tide fans on here. I really don't understand Saban scoring that last touchdown though. It showed a lack of class IMO. Why not just take the knee, and run the clock out? Did he feel that the margin needed to be bigger since McCoy missed all but 4 plays of the game? I also echo the sentiments of those who have already praised McCoy on the way he handled himself after the game. A very classy young man, and I wish him huge success in his pro career.

I'm sure having a lot of three and outs from the offense had a lot to do with it, plus Alabama's defense scored 1 TD, and was pretty much responsible for two more.
