It was a misread on #13 part, and Coach will take the blame, feel free to keep arguing and I'll keep telling you the truth. Most teams do this the same way, you know football, 4th and 17 and you call that play, how about the Horn who picked it, talking about strange, knock in down and you save 20 yards.

There is no way to know that unless you were on the sidelines with a headset on. I don't buy it. I don't think Saban would have an automatic call there without having some rules in place. Obviously you would stress that it is an automatic call unless you're in a bad situation like they were. Saban tried to catch the Horns napping, and with a better pass he would have. If Bama doesn't have rules for a situation like that then Nick Saban isn't the coach I thought he was which is why I have a hard time believing it. It was called IMO and that's why Saban wasn't going completely nuts afterward. He got caught with his hand in the cookie jar.
January 9, 201016 yr On most punt teams certain player looks for reads in formation. #13 Cory Reamer was our guy. The punter misread the read and thru the pass due to mis information from Cory. Do you really think our coach would call this pass when it was 4th and 17? The Coach will take the Blame, not put it on the kid. Going for the last TD. The way we have handled their Kick offs losing 2 almost three you need to score. We get a late pick and took a knee, we try and score and y'all can cry, but we wanted a score and got one. If your team scores its OK, a team/Coach does this that you don't care for and you want to moan. I'd thrown a long pass on the final play...you don't want to play me in Ping Pong. And thanks to the the fans who have shared their nice comments about Bama and to me/fans. There was absolutely no need to score. They could have taken a knee three times, and run the clock out. I don't understand what handling their kickoffs has to do with your argument.

If it was, why was Saban so calm about it? It wasn't really that bad of a play, the punter just needed a few more feet on the throw. JMO, but I'd like to think that it was Saban being sneaky rather than the punter being a moron.

If Bama doesn't score there, Texas uses their 3 timeouts and is still only down 10 or 13 (but our kicker was shaky at the end) with 2 minutes to go. Texas has already got 2 posessions on kickoffs. Why let them have the ball with 1:30 or 2:00 to go down 2 scores instead of putting it away by making it a 3 score game. Anything can happen in football, example: Bluegrass Miracle. When you have a chance to put a team away you take it, any good coach would tell you that.

Texas had scored early on deep balls, which are what you need down 10 with little time remaining. It's unlikely Texas could have pulled it out but it was possible. They had to end the game.

Sorry they had 2 (forgot about the timeout during the punt), and then instead of 2:00 left its 1:30 (plenty of time for a quick strike to Shipley or a screen that breaks for a touchdown, then get another onside kick). Remember Nick Saban was on the other sideline when Guy Morris got his famous gatorade bath right before the bluegrass miracle. He knows that anything can happen. If you want to win, put the game out of reach.

Afer the big run by Richardson to the 5 yard line there was probably 1:38 when they had it 1st and goal from the five. It was rather obvious Texas wasn't going to call any timeouts after they ran another play to the 2 yard line. The game was over.

I will post the Texas stats for you/others to see what I saw and believe me when you see what Colt was doing to pad his stats, well you version of class might be different. :deadhorse:, first time I ever used this one, but I think it fits.
January 10, 201016 yr Just found out that our QB had his ribs cracked against the Gators. They tried to keep in from anyone and believe me they did, the Bamanation would have been going nuts. He played with a special jacket on and when you think about those hits he took early. WOW Our backup QB was Star Jackson who had played very little, but during the Bowl layoff he got demoted and another freshman was the backup. He hasn't played one down. Star might be going to another school. I couldn't have imagine what Texas went thru when they lost Colt. I would have passed out. :jump:

Big difference. :thumb: As to the ongoing feud about Saban, Some of us don't like him. I won't get into an analysis about it or him so you don't have to :deadhorse: with me.
