They nearly let this game get away from them by becoming too conservative in the third quarter. When you tack on a TD late in a 10 point game, I don't see that as running up the score. Exactly.

He dunked with under 10 seconds left in a 6 point game with no one around him, no one was going to foul him the game was already decided. Also if Bama starts taking a knee, Texas starts taking TOs. You can't be any more sure about Georgia fouling than you could have about what Texas would have done with their timeouts. Georgia could have fouled if he'd have pulled it out and Texas could have called their timeouts if Bama would have taken a knee. If Texas were going to call timeouts they would have called one after they stopped Alabama after their first down play from the 5 yard line. Trying to compare a late score in football and basketball is a huge reach, and just shows you're trying to justify the late score. We obviously have different opinions, and it's obvious nobody's opinion is going to change. I realize I'm in the minority here.

January 10, 201016 yr My bad I thought that more than one player could score on a play. I guess all the rest of the players on the field were the #2's also? I have no problem with the TD. I just think using the example of a teams second string scoring is not a good arguement. Nothing more.
