January 7, 201016 yr OK, I have a snowy day pet peeve. I can't for the life of me figure out why people go out walking and walk in the street.:irked: I mean seriously, they are telling people to drive slow, watch for ice , and yet as the snow starts piling up along the edge of the road and it begins to get tricky driving, not only do you have to be careful not to slide into a car you have to watch for those that insist on getting out and walking. I realize the side walks are not clear but unless it is absolutely necessary stay in or get a good pair of boots and brave the sidewalk.

Ah, a little bump in the tushie may be good for some folks. :thumb: Just to give a perspective from a walker's point of view: I have a great pair of boots, and I walk in the street versus the sidewalks. There are a couple of reasons, really. On my street, people have to shovel their steps onto the sidewalk, and that makes for very tricky walking. The sidewalks often are uneven and that adds to the trickiness. I've found that walking in the tire tracks of traffic, and then stepping aside when a car is coming is the safest option available. And that's from experience. :lol:

January 7, 201016 yr Till about 2. Keep in mind, there is a secondary wave that's supposed to come through this evening. Could be another inch come down tonight into Friday morning. Also, since this is such a dry snow, when the winds pick up drifting could occur, causing whiteout conditions for some drivers.
January 7, 201016 yr It's really coming down here in NKY right now. I would say only about 2 inches though.
