About 3 inches here in Maysville. Still snowing, but it looks like it's tapering off.

 

No road treatment in our subdivision, which is par for the course.

Just got off the phone with my cousin's husband up in Hamilton. He says, it's still coming down. Dad was supposed to return home Sunday, we're pushing that back a week now.

 

BTW - They've forecast snow for Gainsville tomorrow. These people can't drive in the rain. :scared:

 

Have a friend that lives in Bradenton and he was telling me of the snow forcast. Would love to see pictures if it happens.

I don't think we'll get snow here. Not cold enough, too close to the coast, and too far south. Gainsville is about 130 miles north of here and inland. Definitely no snow in Bradenton. The frost here has been gone by 9 am, so I wouldn't think anything that sticks up there would last past then.

We had flurries Christmas time in 1990, and that was the last really bad cold snap (temps in the teens) we've had until now. That one killed all the fruit and palm trees and all the landscaping I had planted where I was living at the time.

 

I've got friends that live in Archer. I'm sure they'll take pictures. I'll post them if they are any good.

As always, we get very little.

About 2 inches in Richmond right now. Still light snow outside.

 

2 inches on the cars, concrete, and grass. About a half an inch to an inch of slush on the main roads, and anywhere from 1-2 inches of very slick snow on the side roads and parking lots.

 

The wind has started to pick up here, blowing snow everywhere...that should be interesting.

 

I was really surprised by the city of Richmond dropping the ball as far as treating the roads today. The main roads were fine all morning and afternoon, however, we started getting heavier snow from around 3 PM to 5 PM. For whatever reason, I failed to see a snow plow or salt truck anywhere on the bypass until 5:30 PM. I drive this road several times a day for work and the conditions on both sides of the road were terrible...they still aren't that great.

 

Sure enough, when they stopped plowing and salting, someone wrecked. Luckily, they only slid off the road onto a curb, but it could have been worse, and I'm betting there will be worse tonight if they don't get some more trucks out.

I am proud to say that my foresight means that I had no shoveling to do on my steps! I applied another dose of salt/snow melt for tonight, and hope to get through till Saturday!

About 4" in N. Pendelton Co. The neighbor and I just shoveled 400' of steep gravel driveway.

I ALMOST felt bad for the people down the street out shoveling. Almost...well, not at all really. :lol: I am apparently the only one in the neighborhood who throught the threat was real enough to go out and prepare in advance. :lol:

A friend of mine had snow on her car this morning in Spring Hill, about 20 miles north of Tampa Bay. No pictures, though. They've issued roadway ice warnings for tonight and tomorrow morning. Anybody want to go to the beach?
