January 7, 201016 yr Is that going to translate into higher totals? I think some of the stations here have downgraded this thing to 1-3 inches. I still think we get 4 inches, unless the really dry air here and behind the storm kills some of the punch of the storm. There is a massive high pressure system behind this storm that is going to bring some really cold temps after this blows through. Whatever we get, it should be a really dry powdery snow, which should aid in removal, as long as they get it off the roads before it hits single digits this weekend.

As a school teacher, there is nothing worse than getting the students in the building and then immediately sending them back home due to weather. If the snow is going to come, I'd prefer it come early so school can go ahead and be cancelled.

We actually have a new superintendent this year (after 8 years of the previous guy) and a lot of people are curious as to his "snow day" policy. I guess you never change much as a student or teacher!:lol:
