Swamp, currently 40 here just about 30 minutes south of you in Bradenton. I just came back from up there as well. I just moved here in February and already forgot about how cold it got up there. I was cold all week and I am cold now :lol:

The bad part about this, is the effect it has on the citrus and strawberry crops. Plant City and points north and central are under a freeze warning again. A little cold will make the fruit sweet, a lot will kill it. With the dew point at 19 the farmers are in for another long night.
January 6, 201016 yr Author A winter storm warning has now been issued for for Northwestern Kentucky. This goes into effect tonight at midnight to 6pm on Thursday. This includes the cities of Paducah, Madisonville, Owensboro. For now parts of Southwestern Kentucky are still under a winter storm watch.

For over a decade the Ohio River Valley for whatever reason pushes the snow far south or far north. NKY will get the nuisance dusting, enough too cause a ton of trouble, but not near enough too have fun in or have the pleasure of being snowed in:irked:. No heavy snow for us, you can take that to the bank.:thumb:

If it's going to be this cold might as well bring it on! :irked: Was talking with some co-workers earlier today and one of them mentioned that it's a lot easier to deal with the cold if there's actually snow on the ground. In a weird way, it makes sense. Mind you, not that I'm wanting any 10-foot snow drifts outside my garage door tomorrow morning …

January 7, 201016 yr What do your models say about the southwestern part of the state? You guys will be on the short side according to TG Shuck. South/Southwest KY gets 1-3 inches. They're calling for 3-5 in Central KY with higher accumulations in NKY.
