Cinn. X was the biggest high school team I have ever seen, not to mention they have talent and are well coached. The Tigers needed to play a near perfect game and did not. A great effort by the Tigers but they were just beat by a bigger better team tonight. I do not think either team will lose again again this season.The Rocks will have their hands full again next week and then some.

Looking at the stats link above, it was a 10-7 game heading into Q4. Despite the yardage difference, it looks like LSX hung in there.

Now you can see why Colerain struggled with them. To a man, they were bigger than anyone we had on either line. We are fast and strong, but at the end of the day, that kind of size just wears on you after 3+ quarters.

 

Good showing by the Tigers but the advantages held by the Bombers in recruiting and facilities make them a prohibitive favorite in almost any contest.

The Tigers dropped a lot of balls tonight which would have made this game much more interesting if caught. Nonetheless, Cincy X's pressure on the QB combined with outstanding DB coverage was just too much for us. The Bombers are one fine football machine.

Again, you can't expect to use the passing game effectively if you don't believe in it. I still think St. X uses it more as an experiment than a weapon and that's why it isn't there in a big game when they need it.

Very proud of the Tigers last night. Cincy StX looked like a college team out there but our young men never backed down. Played hard the entire game. Can't say we would've won but six-seven plays made the difference in the score being a lot closer than it ended up being.

I agree...they use it when they don't need to, and then when it's time to buckle down, they go right back to 3 yards and a cloud of rubber tire.

Wow. It's strange to me that we basically created a class so Trinity and St. X could play for one state championship because few others can compete with them but when they go across the river they're just another team.

Well Trinity plays them next week so I would hold on declaring supremacy until you see how all three fare against Cincy St X.

That's silly talk there. Lets just wait till each team plays them before you crown someone Champions of the Bluegrass. After watching HHS play and win 4 road games, I'm one that's hoping they turn it up a notch and like to see everything come together. If that happens, then who knows! But that's two weeks away.
