No switch that I know of. My daughter was talking on Saturday about the order form she got at school for the Beat CovCath shirts. I haven't seen or heard anything of shirts for St. X, but I'll ask around.

Well said. Highlands' team this year may be one of the best yet, but why don't they schedule games with X and Trinity every year?

Wow. It's strange to me that we basically created a class so Trinity and St. X could play for one state championship because few others can compete with them but when they go across the river they're just another team.

 

X and Trinity play at another level compared to local schools, but Louisville is not the center of the football world.

Yes there are “beat St. X tee shirts.” Why wouldn't there be? It's a national televised game against arguably the class of Ohio this year. I can assure Cov. Cath. fans that Highlands fans and the program haven't relegated you to irrelevancy. Though we would love to beat you by 10 touchdowns every year we play you I can assure you that your program is highly respected by the folks in Ft. Thomas.

Since I do not labor under the assumption that the Cov. Cath. - Highlands rivalry is monogamous, I will not lose much sleep over the fact that Highlands boosters have ordered Beat St. X t-shirts. I am pulling for the Bluebirds to beat Cincinnati St. X, like I was pulling for Trinity and Louisville St. X to win against their Ohio opponents. Call me a homer. I support KY football. :clap:

This will be the year the boys from Fort Thomas comes out on top of the the big Ohio teams. There is just to much pride and tradition involved in the game. The bombers have a great team, but the Bluebirds have to many Offense of weapons,and they will out score them. Good Luck both teams

I was at this game and all I can is say is WOW! Cincy St. X besides being very big and quick are outstanding athletes! Was nice to see a school have just as many players (if not more) on the sidelines as X.

 

Lou X kept up with them the best they could but consistently shot themselves in the foot. Buehner was running for his life. He had 3/4 passes that were right on them numbers but dropped. Montano had a nice game but I was surprised the lack of impact from Neal & McMurry.

 

In the end you just have to give credit to Cincy X.

Sears and Hall also played a nice game for Lou X. My new name for Hall..."Road Runner"!!!!

Was the lack of impact from Neal and McMurray as much do to the defense of Cincy St. X rather than to the efforts of these individuals? How much difference does it make if Louisville St. X is blowing the other team off of the line? How often is St. X dominated on the line? Usually, Louisville St. X can wear down another team and control the line. What about the speed of Cincy St. X’s defensive backs? How much does the St. X play calling have to do with the outcome? Can St. X succeed against teams like Cincy St. X primarily running the ball?--not only just running the ball, but also being very predictable on where and how they run the ball? How much also comes into play psychologically when St. X is not use to playing a team like Cincy St. X?
