August 14, 200917 yr My daughter will be 17 when she graduates HS and would be ineligible to sign a binding contract, correct? I would say others fall in the same category. The fact that the parents also have to sign makes the 17 year old /binding contract issue moot.

August 15, 200917 yr I'd let him play for Rick in a heart beat. It's my job to teach my kid morals. Rick's there to coach basketball. If my kid's morals are not entrenched by 18, then I didn't do my job right. I think you've said it best thus far.:thumb:

August 15, 200917 yr If my son worked hard enough to receive a scholarship, the school choice is his. If it were up to me, no, I wouldn't want him playing for Pitino next year. Maybe a year or two later when the bad taste was out of my mouth.
August 15, 200917 yr I would not want my son to chose Pitino to play for. That would have been my feeling before all this fiasco though. I don't believe Pitino is the type of coach that I appreciate on a basic level.... through in his off the court behavior.... not my pick! Like someone else said, if the player is high enough level that Pitino is recruiting him, he'll have other options. I'd be weeding through those other options.
