August 12, 200917 yr Passion (emotion), a strong feeling about a subject or person, usually of intense desire and attraction Does sex include intense desire or attraction? You're kidding right... They had sex at a restaurant, where they had been drinking... Seriously man?
August 12, 200917 yr Does it really matter if it was an affair or not or what the "definition" is. They had relations with each other each way you spin it.
August 12, 200917 yr C'mon....you saying that every one night stand is an affair? It also sasy ATTACHMENT. I wouldn't say that in this case. I didn't say every one night stand is an affair. Someone could classify this as an affair or not. To each his own.
August 12, 200917 yr Isn't the elephant in the room here how did he get his buddy to marry her? Did Pitino and Karen get along all this time after the abortion? I'm still wondering what the deal is w/ the husband presenting the demands, but being shocked at her allegations. Something about this isn't adding up to me. I think she's guilty of extortion and Pitino hasn't done anthing illegal, but I'm not convinced we know the story. She hadn't met Sypher at this point. She alleges that Sypher was at the condo, but that Pitino raped her and Sypher didn't help her during the rape. My impression from this report is that there was NO relationship between Pitino and Sypher after the Porcini incident, until she called him and told him she was pregnant. That's when he met with her at Sypher's condo, and she alleges a 2nd rape occurred. Interestingly, she never reported EITHER alleged rape. And she apparently took the $3000 and had an abortion.
August 12, 200917 yr You can't really believe that. I do believe that. 100%. It's obvious many don't think that way, but you shouldn't hold employees to different standards because of their position. If the General Manager at a store is caught having sex in the back room and so is a salesperson, the salesperson doesn't get fired?
August 12, 200917 yr You're kidding right... They had sex at a restaurant, where they had been drinking... Seriously man? You are right, it probably doesn't include attraction. Pitino drinks and sleeps with random women at restaurants all the time!
August 12, 200917 yr Depends, were there candles on the table? Porcini has a top-notch wine list too....the good stuff!
August 12, 200917 yr Why argue over whether he had an affair or a one night stand. Either way he cheated on his wife and paid to have an abortion. That is very pathetic. I am a huge UofL fan, but that's just wrong. There's no way to spin it. I'm not saying you fire him or punish him for his actions, because it happened 7 years ago and it was personal in nature. But it sure is a PR nightmare. The story is already getting national headlines and has obviously hurt the program this summer. First Richard leaves, this is a big hit in recruiting. Tyler decommits and goes to Europe, Martin decommits, Melo and Teague never commit. The school went out and spent a ton of money to bring in Willard (makes sense now) because they knew they needed a stable, older coach on staff just in case. Of course fans of other schools are going to pile on, that's just how it is. There's no sense in acting like Pitino did nothing wrong though, he did. He is human like the rest of us and we all make mistakes.

August 12, 200917 yr    What about having sex at a restaurant is romantic or passionate? And how do we know it was of limited duration ? Rick might be a stud

August 12, 200917 yr To be fair, every UL/UK thread contains some version of "Pitino is a womanizer", but no facts are ever produced. What's so shocking to me isn't that Pitino confessed to adultry, but that many UK fans are now outrageously shocked, when only yesterday they were stating rumors with certainty. Pitino is a womanizer. He was at Kentucky and he has been during his time at Louisville. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to know that. Um... Yes... A 45 year old man having sex with an 18 year old girl. Or a man who cheated on his wife, and paid for the abortion. Call me crazy... You're absolutely crazy if that's what you think. Billy G may not be the best role model, but what Ricky P has done pales in comparison to BCG's actions. A 45 year old man hitting on (and hooking up with) college girls is creepy, but come on... I wouldn't call it an affair. What this was, was far more sordid....a lust filled one night stand. I'm sure no one here has ever been part of that.... What about the FACT that she WAS NOT married at the time? (Why am I arguing? What he did was gross, immoral, and despicable!....but...facts ARE facts.) You need to read your parens & the last sentence again. You're defending a guy who has cheated on his wife. Whether or not he's a famous basketball coach, that is an affair. The media & certain people will justify it as they see fit, but a spade is a spade. While I agree with him being a part of the face the Univeristy, there shouldn't be different rules. If a professor at UofL rapes a student, and a basketball coach does the same, I think the two would have the same effect in terms of defacing the image of the University. It's not even close. Athletic coaches are much bigger in the presentation of their university to the general population than the best Chemistry professors are. Sure, they may get equal publicity in the school's media guide, but it's not even close in terms of popularity & revenue.
August 12, 200917 yr Well, according to UK fans for years..... This is not an issue between Kentucky & Louisville. Why does that seem so difficult for you (and other Louisville & Kentucky fans) to understand?
