May 27, 200917 yr Reds win 6-4. Votto w/ a 2 run HR in the 7th. Masset, Stormy, and Cordero had great outings. I've been critical of Dusty, but for this team to be where they are w/ the injuries they have gone through is very impressive. He's got to get a lot of credit for that.
May 27, 200917 yr Big game tomorrow, IMO. A win would put the reds above .500 at home before going on a tough road trip to the brew crew and St. Louis.
May 27, 200917 yr Eric Milton, LA, (remember him) 5 IP, 1 ER, in Colorado for his first win since 2006.
May 27, 200917 yr I love the effort they are playing with. Especially guys like Rosales and Gomes. They aren't the most talented guys in the world, but they bust it. This team, win or lose, is fun to watch. They play with energy and pride. This season, so far, has been a pleasant surprise.

He did a bang up job as well. And I've been critical of him. He did well.
May 27, 200917 yr Don't forget Herrera. He did a bang up job as well. And I've been critical of him. He did well. Very true. Only Lincoln had a bad outing. Of course maybe he had the internal scouting report on Keppinger that said he couldn't hit.

That ball hit by Berkman last night was scorched. Rosales has worked hard on his game. A couple of weeks ago that ball probably would have ate him up.
May 27, 200917 yr Don't forget Herrera. He did a bang up job as well. And I've been critical of him. He did well. Great point! Herrera has done a great job all year outside his first appearance. I have been really proud of the way the Reds have battled and never given up on a single game this season. I just wish the fan support were there... I always said if they put a winner on the field the people would fill Great American Ball Park... But I guess I was wrong. (They must have come to see Griffey & Dunn put up more losses than wins) :idunno:

Attendance is way down throught MLB. Plus, the season is very young, and Reds fans like me and you know what usually happens. If this team is still five games over in mid July the crowds will get bigger, at least I hope...

We imo are watching a bunch of guys that love the game and love playing the game. I will watch a team like that, win or lose.:thumb:
