May 31, 200917 yr On May 29th, 1 1/2 games out of first? Maybe September 29th. Do the games count more in September? I could have sworn that they all count the same. They had their best pitcher give them a very good start against a team in front of them in the division. It would have also started them off well on the big road trip.

One bad start doesn't prove anything....everybody has bad starts over the course of a year. If it happens on a regular basis now, then you are right.

One start doesn't prove anything indeed, but that doesn't change that it was a dumb decision. As was his decision to not bunt Friday.
