May 27, 200917 yr Yeah, Lee is a big time hitter, and with that comes big time $$$. Cuddyer is off to a nice start but he doesn't have a history of being a big time, reliable hitter. You couldn't give me Swisher and his .225 average. I've never seen the obsession people have with him. He hit .219 with 24 hr's and 69 rbi's last year and .262 with 22 hr's and 78 RBI's the year before. He isn't worth the money. I think the current platoon will give as much or more production than Cuddyer or Swisher in a years time. I'd like to see them go after Holliday. He got off to a rough start, but is creeping back up now. The A's will be looking to deal him in July, IMO. He was a great hitter in Denver, and I think GABP would be a nice launching pad for him too. I would love to see Holliday in a Reds uniform.

He saved a run from scoring yesterday too but didn't get an assist. They held the runner at 3rd and Tejada got caught between 1st and 3rd.

They gave him and Gonzo each assist on this play, if it leads to an out, it counts as an assist. Thats at least what Thom and the Cowboy said.

Swisher (like Dunn) is a below average defensive player and base runner too. Some of us realize there is more to baseball than OBP too.

Every time Bruce gets to the plate he looks like he is trying to hit a home run instead of just trying to get a hit. Sometimes he looks like he is pressing to try to hit a home run.

He is having a great year for the Nats, but it still doesn't seem to be leading to much success. Dunn is a talent, but he and the Reds needed a divorce. I think that's obvious now. It has worked out well for both so far.

May 27, 200917 yr Every time Bruce gets to the plate he looks like he is trying to hit a home run instead of just trying to get a hit. Sometimes he looks like he is pressing to try to hit a home run. Yesterday he looked like he was trying to drive the ball. He put some solid swings together. Lined out his first trip and singled later. He looks better than he has and my guess is he's gonna be on the mend at the plate and it couldn't come at a better time with the division rivals that are on the menu in the next stretch.
