Track the Reds (Week 8)

Featured Replies

Easy to say this after the hot start from both of our catchers, but what a treat it is to expect good things out of that spot in the lineup. Granted Ross had a stretch 2 seasons ago where he was hot, but for the most part the catchers have been awful offensively. Our 2 guys have done a bang up job this season. And the versatility of Hernandez at first has been remarkable. Kudos to the guys who don the tools of ignorance, as my college coach used to say.

They also are capable of catching a throw and putting a tag on someone.:thumb:

Jay Bruce looks at the seven games against Milwaukee and St. Louis that lie ahead as an opportunity.

“We go on the road with some momentum,” he said. “We plan on coming back in first place.”

:ylsuper: Love that coment!

Great point! Herrera has done a great job all year outside his first appearance.

I have been really proud of the way the Reds have battled and never given up on a single game this season.

I just wish the fan support were there... I always said if they put a winner on the field the people would fill Great American Ball Park... But I guess I was wrong. (They must have come to see Griffey & Dunn put up more losses than wins) :idunno:[/

Per Lance on 1360, overall major league baseball attenance is down 5% compared to last year. Sign of the economy. GABP attendance is down less than 1% this year compared to last.

Also factor in weather, school still being in session and having the third from last in metro population in all of Mlb. There you go.

Willy Taveras CF

Jerry Hairston 2B

Joey Votto 1B

Ramon Hernandez C

Jay Bruce RF

Laynce Nix LF

Alex Gonzalez SS

Adam Rosales 3B

Johnny Cueto P

Phillips still not in the lineup even though all signs pointed to him starting tonight. I am wondering if they are considering the DL now?

I really like this lineup. I like Ramon in the 4 hole, he is a good veteran hitter that puts the ball in play.

If BP can't go by tomorrow, they got to do something, you can't continue to play short handed.

LRCW, dvr the game, relax, and watch the big win in the morning.

J/K of course, but the biggest road trip for this team in a while starts in a few. 4-3 would be good enough. Anything better would be fantastic

Walk followed by a HR. Walk was on 4 pitches.

Watched the whole Cleveland and H:Douston series.

Cueto is all over the place...

Good job getting out of that inning with no harm done. Cueto needs to settle in now.
