For 2 hours. Really? He should have been shut down after about 20 minutes.

Just posting quotes from Harang. I agree that Baker should have told him he was done. No since risking an injury just to get Harang a win.

I wasn't questioning you, just using your quote. The more I think about it the more peeved I get. If he has a bad month or two they're done. They already are one starter short and Homer doesn't appear that he will help soon.

Volquez will be back when he's able to come off the DL

I like that he let Harang go back out there for no more than two batters. Give him a chance for a win, after last season's struggles.

Who gets sent to Louisville when Masset comes off the DL tomorrow? Fisher?

I think Burton should go down. Get some regular work and confidence back.

What does that have to do w/ Homer making his start? I also hope they aren't rushing him back too early. The only thing that I feel can slow this team down for the next few years is injuries to the starting pitchers. To say Dusty scares me being in charge of that is and understatement.

You said they were down a pitcher...I simply stated Volquez was returning. He is only really missing one start because the off day Thursday allows them to skip that spot in the rotation.

I get so sick and tired of people blaming Dusty Baker for injuries to pitchers. Pitcher's get hurt all the time. Pitching puts so much pressure on your elbow and shoulder its like a time bomb. Especially when you have bad mechanics like Kerry Wood and Mark Prior did. Its amazing we don't see more blown out elbows and shoulders to be honest.

Kerry Wood and Mark Prior both have stated many times that Dusty is not to blame for their injuries.

He still is out right? They are not as good of a team when he is getting skipped or replaced w/ Homer.

The fact that pitchers get hurt all the time is the reason Dusty shouldn't have run Harang back out there. It could have been poor mechanincs in Chi or it could be that he's more worried about his own future than the pitchers future. He was wrong using Harang in relief last year and IMO he was wrong sending him back out after a rain delay over 2 hours.

Who else was he supposed to use last year? He had not pitchers left...

Is he in jail for murder?

That's what I thought.....

Not the Ace of the staff. A position player if necessary.

Enough said.......
