SC was in attack mode and UK was scared to death. Porter was weak with the ball and got ripped several times. No one attacked the basket with authority nor threw a pump fake at anyone so the block party was in full force. And the rebounding was the final sign... Patterson even blocked out once and the guy still timed his jump and got a tip dunk right over PP.

It was sad to see.

Well, another crap game I'm glad I missed by going to a high school game. I missed the Vanderbilt fun, and this one sounds no better. Thank God I've not personally witnessed them destroying their season.

:laugh::laugh::laugh: No I played for a HS that is known by most as a hard nosed, grind it out, type team. I know nothing about any of that. HS and Grade school level I buy it some but not at elite programs in Divison I basketball. They just aren't good it has nothing to do with heart or Pride.

 

I have to agree with AA here. Heart and Pride will take a team alot further than a team without it, no doubt about it. Heart and Pride are essential (along with talent of course) at ANY level for a team to be a winner. JMO

 

A perfect example.....The "unforgettables", Pitino's early teams. That was a team of overachieving in state kids that lived and loved U.K.basketball their entire life and they played like it. Loaded all over with great talent....no. Loaded with heart and pride...absolutely! That was the team that formed the foundation and set the standard for the later teams that Pitino had here and it was built on heart and pride.

There are far too many individual quotes to multi quote here, but I appreciate those that are going against the direction of this thread.

 

SC is a terrible matchup for the personel that we have.

 

This Uk team is not very good, two players do not beat teams at this level that are well coached. I realize HT has said this over and over but I have to add my two cents.

 

For those that blame BCG totally, he has to play with what he has at the moment.

 

For those that are already calling for BCG's head, you have to give him time to build the team he wants.

I for one am not after BCG's head, I just thought that he did not have this team ready to play at all tonight. I also thought that on this night that Horn had out prepared and outcoached him badly.

I don't know whether or not if they will but it certainly wouldn't suprise me to see SC win the SEC tournament.

Billy Clyde went on and on in his post-game radio interview with Tom Leach about what a warrior Patrick Patterson is/was, and how he has no help from the likes of A.J. Stewart, Perry Stevenson, and Josh Harrellson.

 

He then was oh so close to telling Tom Leach he was asking bad questions because he asked about Jody Meeks sitting in the second half.

 

Our UK coach is lacking in several categories beside his ability to coach a basketball team.

My wife can't stand to listen to him talk - and she doesn't like his smirk when things aren't going well. And she could have cared less until she heard one of his infamous half-time interviews.

It's a tough gig, but that's why they pay him millions.
