February 26, 200917 yr UK's inability to execute a half court offense, was glaring in the part I watched. The defensive scheme and weak side help, was planned. The lack of adjustment by the UK staff, was apparent. If you can't make mid game adjustments, not going to be a very good team.

February 26, 200917 yr That one was ugly. USC has simply beaten us on both ends of the floor twice this season. Downey is tough, but what made BCG think that Ramon Harris could guard him? Liggins did an alright job, but he's simply too fast for either one of them to handle. I don't understand why we NEVER press. The only thing that resembled a press was when we played man-to-man and had the guy guarding the inbounds pass come & double. That's not a press. That's a fast break for the other team, since all they have to do is throw the ball over the top and run down the floor. Michael Porter sucks. Plain & simple. He's too slow with the ball, he has very little confidence in his shot, and teams just wait to take the ball from him. No way he should be out there. Hate to see his knee bothering him, but he has no business out there. The only problem is Liggins continues to prove he's not ready for the big time too. How many horrible decisions can you make in one game? Patterson battled but I was disappointed in his play. He got blocked 10+ times tonight. Hey PatPat, ever heard of an up & under? Or maybe kicking it out for a good look? Meeks shot well, but we didn't try to get him the ball. That's frustrating, too. All in all it was a horrible display, but it's only 1 loss. And South Carolina is a very, very good team and they were pumped for tonight's game. Let's move on...we have a huge game on Saturday vs. LSU which means a lot to this season.

February 26, 200917 yr Somebody teach Patterson a PUMP FAKE! Set picks for Meeks. Go back to the basics and teach boxing out and rebounding. USC hustled and played hard tonight and Downey abused UK once again.

But thats not even the point. No amount of heart will make those guys better to where it matter for UK, it might make a difference with 2 or 3 plays in a game but they got beat by 20.
February 26, 200917 yr :laugh::laugh::laugh: No I played for a HS that is known by most as a hard nosed, grind it out, type team. I know nothing about any of that. HS and Grade school level I buy it some but not at elite programs in Divison I basketball. They just aren't good it has nothing to do with heart or Pride. I guess we will just have to agree to disagree...A team with no Heart is A team that is no Champion...JMO...:thumb:BTW there's some hard nosed football played in these parts as well...:thumb:
