USC played great defense, Patterson had to be more than frustrated but he kept working hard. USC has a very nice combination of players, they have a great PG, some good shooters and athletic bigs.

I don't really see how that would make Harris, Porter, Liggins, Harrelson, or Slone better.

I think the Cats have a better chance of beating LSU at home, then they did of beating USC on the road.

 

USC is a really bad matchup for UK.

I know this is way off base after what has just happened, but while I was watching the game I thought to myself. Regardless of where he stood right now (and myself personally feeling like he was coming back) I think this could have been the game that makes Patterson decide to come back to school next year. One because this game by itself could drop Patterson down draft boards and two it should have left a bad taste in his mouth wanting him to come back and revenge in a big way. As I mentioned in an earlier thread I feel Meeks and Patterson both are types of guys who really are as passionate about Kentucky ball as the fans and really want to be the guys who bring Kentucky basketball back to prominence.

 

 

That was just a thought. As for the game. Nothing really to talk about. Ive said all along if Kentucky limites their turnovers no one can beat them, but as in tonights case they will continue to lose if they continue to turn the ball over. Jasper leaving never seemed so bad until having to go through this season without a proven PG.

I really believe that this is about, no it is as embarrassed as I have ever been over a U.K. loss/performance.

 

USC outplayed, out hustled, out prepared, out scouted, out anything else you want to add along with we were GREATLY OUTCOACHED in every facet of the game. Darin Horn had the Gamecocks prepared, primed and ready to play. U.K. wasn't ready to play a "ymca" game, let alone a major college basketball game :madman:. Yes, USC defenders were hanging all over Patterson with very little called, that imo made no difference. U.K. was just that bad tonight.

I have seen U.K. take losses before, plenty of them but I have never watched a U.K. team as poor prepared or a U.K. team play like they really didn't want to be there like the Cats did tonight and I don't even want to hear the question "will the Cats be in the NCAA" right now, lol.

I am mad, will be mad for a while but as any true U.K. fan will be right back pulling for the Cats vs. LSU on Saturday.

One word/phrase can perfectly sum up tonights U.K. play.............:puke:

That team also had Mashburn, Woods was a great PG, and Pelphrey and Feldhaus could both shoot, and had high basketball IQ's.

:laugh::laugh::laugh: No I played for a HS that is known by most as a hard nosed, grind it out, type team. I know nothing about any of that. HS and Grade school level I buy it some but not at elite programs in Divison I basketball. They just aren't good it has nothing to do with heart or Pride.
